like the title says, went out this past weekend riding. I heard a jingling sound before the bike cut off and wouldn't start back up. I tried to kick started a few times, and i felt the kick start kicking back to me??? at first I thought it was a fuel problem, so when I got home I took off and clean the carbs, put them back on, and try to kick start it again only to hear the jingling sound when the motor try to crank up. I've done a bit of searching in heaven can come up with anything, except for maybe acrank bearing ?? anyway they have the bike in my shop and I'm starting to tear it apart to pull out the motor, just wanted to know if anyone had any ideas? if I rebuild it I wanted to do a4 21 serval motor, but was also curious about the 4 mil motor E.C. Atv cells already built minus the carbs for 1500 bucks?? I'm assuming that is a short rod 4mil,and has a off brand 4mil crank?? I haven't called about it to ask questions yet, but have done a search to check on the feedback for EC ATV,which some ppl love em,others have had horrible expieriences with them... Any ideas on my rambling post?? Hope i dont get roasted for noob questions,lol. Thanks in advance fellas!!

dish detergent is the best to clean up plastics, and with a scuff pad will also prep it for paint. The adhesion promoter everyone is mentioning is a must.

thanks fellas, I am using aircraft stripper on frame ,forks, etc.. the previous owner did a botch job painting it so its going black and I will be doing red accents. like grips, maybe the wheels, etc.. If anyone by any chance has a front plastic for a "zinger" let me know. I will keep you updated.-Erik

Painted them this morning at work. the were prepped by sanding plastic down with 80 then 180 on a DA sander, primed withhigh build 2K primer, then 400 wet sand followed by 800grit. The paint is from a Lexus, and is DuPont Chromabase, with the cheap Nason DuPont clear. The plastics had cracks that I repaired using a grinder and fiberglass reinforced filler. Now all my son has to do is get his grades up to get some ride time in! -Erik
