then a blaster front shock wouldnt make that much difference being only 3/4" longer. guess 300ex it is
-
what is the length of a banshee shock?
-
thx, but i already knew that. that is why its a 2 stroke, gas and oil mix to lube engine. the other post made me think that somehow someone had oil oil in their engine case for lube.
-
i have noticed that others use a R6 rear shock and 300EX for front shocks. my question is as long as a-arms are stock can i still use the lowering kits that re-angle the front shocks? and still use the rear lowering link? yes im a noob and theres not many places to ride in RI, so i want to street and flat track it. like everyone else in this economy im on a budget. THX

can someone explain how there can be engine oil in motor on 2stroke? the trans yes but they are separated chambers. ps im new to 2 strokes aswell

ok went thru carbs again and slides correct for each side. floats fine. did notice one jet wrong and also found out springs on idle screws too long. prevented idle screw from touching slide. got both cylinders firing and seems good. test drive. no powerband . new reeds not in yet? suggestions. -
banshee not running on both cylinders
Dispicablemee replied to nvrstsfd23's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
compression test both cylinders. check jets and check for bent needle. -

got the cylinder to fire over and its consistant. had to drop pilot jet to 1.6. 25 was flooding out.. hmm the left carb has a 25 for pilot and runs fine.. go figure.. im going to chg left to 1.6 and even them out. now i should still be able to set idle and mixture with airbox off?? -

thx to all replies. i did un plug tors brain, i did swap plug wires and plugs same thing. today i took off cylinders to inspect them and pistons and rings. everything looks great hardly any wear and top end was done 6 years ago. i ordered new reeds. i strongly beleive that the right cylinder reed is leaking and flooding chamber. i did look at reeds today and i can see a gap on them not sealed closed. last but not least left cyl comp 120 psi and right 115 psi. let you all know when reeds arrive. -

i have checked everything possible and cant figure it out. just ordered new reeds to replace old ones not sealing well. any info would be great. yes i have searched this great site for all related issues. carbs super clean, both coil leads have strong spark. bike ran great then sat for 4 years. i just changed the carbs to another set of factory with the TORS eliminator cables. i have like to youtube video on my sig. GREAT SITE BTW. THX Richard
