  1. I need a set of stock cylinders. Needing bore job is fine. Thanks.
  2. Cylinders still for sale?
  3. Whats the price of a chassis skid plate and chain guide shipped to 46142? Thanks!
  4. Would you do $125 shipped on the cylinders? If you think they need bored, I will intend on having it done so I wouldn't really need pistons with them.
  5. And the seat that is being replaced!
  6. Still collecting parts! Just went and picked up a prm bumper and prm grab bar locally. I am finishing up a ttr125 project I had laying around and then its banshee building full steam ahead! I am getting excited to put this thing together and see how it runs! I found a picture that I received from the seller when I first got it that I will upload.
  7. Thanks guys but found one! I am glad this site is helpful!
  8. I have a good used welded/trued hot rods crank on the way! Hoping to receive it by the weekend and get started on this thing! Also picked up a set of used tires/wheels and a seat with a good cover. Total invested- $605.00... Still have to get a gasket kit, and then move on to the top end of the motor. Also need to buy a chain... I am thinking I may be able to build the banshee for under $1000! Stay tuned!
  9. If I don't end up running the team race at LCRP with MAXC series I will be there on a bike! Would enjoy meeting some banshee guys from the forums though! I live in Greenwood so I am not too far from some of you!
  10. I live in the midwest and have been riding 250r's for about 10 years now! They are awesome machines and my suggestion is to try one out! They did dominate almost every form of racing until the 450's were released in 2004. There are a lot of bikes and parts out there for them just like the banshee's. I think you will like the way they handle compared to the 450 or the banshee! With the long travel suspension I bet that thing is a cloud through the rough stuff! Looks can always be changed around!
  11. ^ Loretta Lynn's got the best of my 250r. The threads pulled out of my upper a arm where the heim joint threads into on the last jump of the rhythm section. Keeping the 250r in race condition as well as my CR250 bike in race condition has me pinching pennies to get the banshee together! Hence why this is on a pretty small budget, otherwise I would love to have a beast of a banshee! I will continue to update as I progress! Thanks for the kind words everyone!
  12. Just started a thread in the wanted section! Looking for a good stock crank! Let me know if you guys have any! Trying to build this banshee at the lowest budget possible! Thanks!
  13. Have a banshee project and need a good stock crank! Just trying to get the bike running good on a budget! Thanks!
  14. Greenwood, just south of Indianapolis! How about you?
  15. Hey guys what's up! I have been in the motorsports industry for quite some time and I am a XC racer from Indiana! I am a 2 stroke guy at heart and still race a LSR/Custom Axis TRX250R in the local XC series and a few GNCC's every year! I recently acquired my first banshee and while I have no intention of trying to race this thing, I have always wanted to have one to see how I would like it. I traded a stock 250r frame I had laying around and a couple bucks for a banshee that has appeared to broke a rod. The 250r frame was straight but needed some cracks welded up and powder coat. I figure I have about $350 total invested so far in the banshee but it does need some loving. My plans for the banshee are to build the bike as cheaply as possible, yet make it the best machine it can be for the money.... basically a budget build! I know it needs a full motor rebuild and could definitely go for a set of new tires. My goal for the completed project is to keep it all under $1,200. That gives me right around $850 to spend. The bike came with a set of toomey T5's that look to be in great shape! Also has new tusk nerf bars, and the plastics are not in horrible shape (fronts have had fenders shaved ), but I think I can have a reliable play bike for cheap! I will update with some pictures and hopefully have the motor out and split apart the beginning of next week. I will be gone racing the Loretta Lynn's GNCC this weekend so be patient with this thread but I promise to make a very detailed and fun build thread out of this! Let me hear any suggestions! I am sure I will have questions along the way! Thanks!
