  1. I'd say it bent a rod when we tried to pull start it before I knew what was going on. It won't kick over at all, or roll period. Expensive lesson to learn.
  2. Hey guys my wife was riding one of the banshees and it ran fine, she parked it, and forgot to turn the gas off on the pingle. I went back to start it a couple hours later (not knowing she left gas on) and the bike kicked over about a quarter turn and then would not turn over at all after that. Like its seized up. I just got the right exhaust off and it was full of gas...... do I need to pull the motor and take off jugs etc, or does anyone have an idea wtf happened lol. I figured she seized it. But she said it ran great and she shut it off. I pulled plugs and they look fine. No metal fragments etc good color. Just don't wanna pull the motor if it's something easy to fix....
  3. Exactly. Was just standing up for being called a dumbfuck for having a streetbike motored quad. It fits my wants and needs perfectly.
  4. Point being the only thing I forsee having to do mechanically on this bike in the next 5 years is clean the air filter, and change the oil. It's a lazy man's bike lol.
  5. O I know they can be somewhat reliable. But the more you do to them, alcohol, nos, drag racing all day long, they don't last near as long. They are reliable, but not sportbike reliable. You can't drive your 10 mil 120 miles away ride at the track all day and then ride it home like you could on a sportbike. Obviously I don't do that on mine as it's not street legal and I took a helluva risk riding it to my buddies 8 miles away but it was to prove a point lol.
  6. Also the 10 mil race is a close one due to the weight of my bike and I'm a 280lb bodybuilder.....and she shees making such awesome power to weight. Got to give credit where it's due. In 100 yards it's close. In the quarter mile it's alot more in my favor. Not saying this bike is the fastest in the world cuz it's not. A damn well built and perfectly setup 7 mil can beat it. However I bought this bike for the speed possibilities it has with little to no maintenance that ever needs to be done.
  7. Special blend wh often does are sport bike need to be rebuilt then? Apparently I do not know. Go down to your local bike shop and ask how often a liter bike motor needs a rebuild and see what they say. Let's say 20,000 miles which is not many miles on a sportbike.....that's a helluva lot of time in the dunes. Zillafreak, I'm not saying a banshee hp for hp isn't superior, it absolutely is, without question. However from a reliability standpoint the sport bike engines absolutely trump a banshee. Let alone a built 10mil. I'm saying I can ride my 200hp bike a helluva lot longer than your going to be able to ride a 10 mil before you have to wrench on it. I had a friend locally who told me his 10 mil supercub would eat my bike up. I drove my bike on asphalt tires 8 miles to his house, and then crushed him, and then drove my bike home lol. Tell me how many 10 mils could make that trip, and not blow up? Like I said hp for hp the banshee is clearly superior. No argument there. Reliability wise they won't touch a sportbike motor.
  8. And again, I'm in no need to jump on a 4500 dollar offer. I'm not trying to unload this. Just trying to see what I could get for it to decide if I want to build a full drag chassis build instead as I live 8hrs away from the closest set of dunes. Which I'd be ripping around on daily if I lived near them, with 200hp on nos, while you let your bike which would be overheating from too many multiple passes up the hill. At least you'd have a good look at my tail light...did I mention it has a tail light. It does.
  9. With it on struts as it sits it only has about 3 inches from bottom of exhaust to ground. With shocks on it, has about 6-8 depending on what tires etc. I honestly think it looks kind of shitty in these pictures compared to how it looks in person. They just don't show the detail. Skeeter why am I a dumbfuck for having a streetbike quad? Because I got tired of rebuilding and spending 2500 on my 10 mill every 4 races and was strictly limited to the track with it? Or because I have a shit ton of money invested in my 18 mil dm and can't ever get the damn thing to be consistent. I can take this bike out and beat certain 10 mills asses, and then go play ride all day. I drive this bitch down to our local fishing spot with my kids that's 3 miles away. I don't jump, so I could care less that it's heavy. It's awesome to have a quad I can put pump gas in, never even have to change spark plugs and can run with some pretty bad full drag bikes when I'm setup for dunes or whatever. Full brakes lights, link setup on swinger etc, no money has been spent to lighten this up. And again did I mention I get to do this on pump gas.... and the bike will run for 60,000 miles before it needs a rebuild if it even needs one then. Show me another banshee you can do that on bro. It's a great fit for me. Also my builder Mike Boushie normally sells these for 7k and up around my area. So you got no clue what people are willing to pay for a bike like this. I know I've got 2x that amount in my 10 mil and the damn thing isn't even running right now.
  10. Why didn't you guys bust on snomojo who sold his bike for 5500. And the cbr motor is nowhere near as revered as the r1, and it was an older motor with more miles, And it wasn't on nitrous. Didn't have adjustable axle, pc3, no wheelie bar, had out of frame exhaust etc...... I've been offered 4500 from a craigslist buyer and it's been listed for less than 24 hrs. I know it will pull 5500-5800 if I wait for the right buyer so that's what I'll do.

  13. I'll hang onto it for that. Not needing to sell. Pretty fun to take it to the track last week and smoke built drag frame banshees with 10 to 15k in their bikes, then take it to the st. Joe riding park and play in the sand all day on sunday. I'd say being able to do that without even having to turn a screwdriver or wrench is easily worth more than 3 grand.

  15. Fog on the forums yes. I ran it at grain valleys, thunder valley sand drags. It's actually a deep loose loamy dirt track.

  19. I have a custom built Yamaha banshee frame with 2008 yamaha R1 street bike engine with 6,000 miles on motor. Was a custom build by Mike Boushie of Hard times custom quads. Grade A builder, not a hackjob frankenstein quad like many conversions you see. The bike looks like it just rolled off the factory floor. Can be setup for drags or full suspension comes with it and can be used to be a rocket duner quad. Clean, reliable build with 150 plus HP, that doesnt have to be wrenched on like a banshee with equivalent power. These R1 motors are bulletproof and user will likely never have to rebuild or mess with the mechanical side of things at all. This quad is new from top to bottom. Dyno tuned and has a 50hp shot of nos that can be used, or turned off with the flip of a switch. Bike has all new parts, stock as well as custom. The pics will show you the quality of this build. show contact info Only reason im selling is im looking to get into a drag only, rigid, stretched lengthened quad with an even bigger motor. Im just not a big duner. Like i said im not hellbent on selling it, but if i got an offer i couldnt turn down i would part with it to move onto a drag only build. More of a pure drag guy. Text is best to get ahold of me. Can send videos or pics upon request. Bike has been to the track twice and ran a best time of 4.10 with a 280lb rider, and the bike has not been lightened at all. Full brakes, lights, etc. It's ready to load up and go duning or can be setup to drag. Motor is stock so it will last forever, also has a PC3.
  20. Have a set of BB LF, OOF drag pipes. They are shearers. Never got around to finishing my bike. Top end to this project is still sitting at K&T and I've lost contact with them and they havnt returned my calls lately. Granted I left my stuff there for a year with them after I lost interest. Initially i started it and ran it some on gas, but it was rich as shit as the carbs were setup for alky, then the next day i switched to alky and did the majority of the break in on , the old fashioned way, heat cycles, and worked gradually up to wide open. I asked k&t what they recommended and they said run it like ur gonna race it. Dont even worry about breaking it in. Also this jus happend today so i cant call them on the weekend, but that was obviously my first choice. If its the outer seal on the tranny side you DO have to split cases etc? Or can it be accessed by taking the side cover off etc?
  22. Yes, took it to my local bike shop and had them run the check. I did it w them. And just checked my tranny fluid again and it is most definitely getting lower. It didnt even read on the stick this last time. So id bet that seal has gone out. Is that something i can replace from the outside? Or is the motor gonna have to come apart. Still dont know why they would send it to me if it disnt have good compression numbers. And i dont know how i could have hurt it that much in 2 tanks of alcohol, is all thats been ran through it since we just got it running and broken in.
  23. It was just rebuilt by k&t. Literally just got done breaking it in, and that was all the compression it had....
  24. Hey guys, just got my 7 mil supercub running and everything was going good, running alittle rich but no problems. Made a few passes and all of a sudden its smoking real bad out of the right cylinder, and if u hold ur hand in front of the right stinger it covers ur hand in oily wet shit. So its blowing out oil or alcohol mix w oil, possibly tranny oil? Im thinking the seal went out on the tranny side, Compression tested it and the left cylinder, the non smoking cylinder has 135 psi, and the right, the smoking cylinder has 150??? Not sure what to think. The pressure out of the left stinger is good and strong, but the right isnt as strong? Anybody know where compression for alcohol should be? It ran out of gas on one run, and im wondering if that hurt something?
