  2. Honestly, I don't ride the hatfield-mccoy trails. I'll have to get my permit to ride it this year though because they've took over where we go in at. I usually ride windmill gap, sunnyeye, and the stair steps. But I see you're from trinity, NC. I'm from Thomasville. Lol

  3. I currently have a 1999 banshee. All stock except for dg exhaust. I'm wanting to do a 4 mil stock cylinder, but not spend a whole lot of money. I already have vf3's, a proflow airfilter kit, billet impeller and a few other odd and end things on the way. I'm planning to do a hotrods 4 mil long rod crank with the 795 series wiseco pistons. I want to keep it looking stock, so i'm leaning toward getting the stock head milled. I also want to do dmc alien exhaust. I trail ride with a little hillclimbing and friendly racing every now and then. I just have no clue what port job to get. Also, could the billet basket wait? I plan on getting new clutch plates over the summer as soon as I get this build finished, so I thought I would get the new basket then. Any help or opinions would be appreciated.

  4. I just got my bike put back together a few days ago. I had HJR put a 4 mil hot rods crank, MX hardcore port and polish, new reeds and cages, chariot head, advanced timing, and a couple other things. All I have to say is that the bike rips. I do the same style riding you do, trails to fields and racing my buddies on the straight aways. If you want more power this is the way to go. Let me tell you in advance , DO NOT TAKE ANY "CHEAP" ROUTES. Make sure you get quality parts and install. Good luck with your build

Some trails are tight, but would it overheat or anything? Did you use stock reeds, and did you bore the cylinders, or are they stock with just the port?

  5. Hey guys, my stepdad has a 06 se banshee with pro circuit platinums, 304 silencers, and a boost bottle. He wants to put VForce 3 reeds and the spacers on it but doesn't know if he has to rejet for them, and if so, what size. Could any of you guys help me out?

  6. I'm building a banshee from a bare frame up and I was thinking of starting with the engine first. I ride trails and some opened up gravel roads, I also race a few buddies once in a while. I was wondering should I go with a 4mil, or just porting? Do I have to have the cylinders bored to do a 4mil?

    Any suggestions would be great.

    Thanks,

  7. I will be doing some trail riding, maybe racing, hillclimb a little. There are no dunes anywhere near me, it's all mountains. I also have a 06 crf250r so I won't be riding the banshee every weekend. But I want something that looks really good and will surprise you everytime you ride it.

  8. Hey you guys, I'm new to bansheehq. Anyways, I'm getting ready to start on a build, starting with a bare frame. I plan on starting with the rear first. I was thinking about going with Laeger Swingarm, and an Elka shock but I'm not sure. It's my first Banshee. Could you guys maybe give me some suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Nick
