  3. i will keep it in mind guys. i would like to keep it together in case some of it doesn't sell. i may eventually have to install it. i am open to offers for the complete setup. i can take out the domes if you dont need them (they were $85)
  4. $1400 + shipping (probably about $40-50) (buyer pays Paypal fees) crank is trued and double welded. cylinders had maybe 50 hours on them before porting.
  5. $1500 + shipping (probably about $40-50) (buyer pays paypal fees) decided to go another route. purchased a few months back from HerrJuggs - +4 mil crank, pistons, 4 mil domes for sea level and pump gas for coolhead, gaskets bore & hone, mx hardcore port on cylinders from my 2006SE (64.50 / .020)
  6. i did he said he would go with the 35s but i have been reading a lot of posts on here lately about guys wanting to get rid of their 35s for 28s due to lost of low end or mid range. i want to go with 35s simply for the fact that they are nearly the same price. my last bike with was built with a paul turner nation midrange kit and i used 34PJs on it and didnt really notice a loss.
  7. i actually have a powder coating machine but was worried about coating the cylinders. we coated a friends head and his bike started to overheat until we stripped it off.
  8. HerrJuggs 4Mil / Hardcore MX port / Coolhead, etc. I am about to buy carbs but have been hearing a lot about not buying 35PWKs and instead going with the 28PWKs. I do mostly trail / woods riding, occasional dune / mx track riding. I dont want to lose any mid/lowend but i also dont want the carbs to be the bottleneck. He must have dipped the cylinders to clean them up before porting and all the paint has come off. I am going to paint them again. What type of paint do you guys use that can withstand the heat? I am sure just normal high heat paint.
  9. damn i wish you would have posted this before i bought a set of stock cylinders to have ported. are the pistons for long rod? i still may look at getting these? wasnt the price 775 at first why did it go up?
  10. why do you think this? they are still sold by duncan racing
  11. yeah that is what i am trying to avoid as well. i hate to port cylinders and get the pistons matched and have to turn around a do it all again if i decided later to go 4mil.
  12. those are the questions that were posed to the builders i am looking at. the question for your guys is what are the benefits of going 4mil/ported stock as opposed to just a ported stock cylinder from the builder?
  13. but why? why do a stroker? It is not about the money it is about how much more work to get it installed (which i will do myself) what are the benefits over just ported cylinders alone?
  14. Current config is Paul Turner mid-range pipes, stock jetted carbs on airbox without lid and pro-flow and K&N. My last banshee was ported by Duncan Racing so I am planning to get it done again. I was looking at HJR, FAST, & Wildcard. Kevin from HJR is the only person responding to my questions to unless something drastic happens he has my business... Should i just go with a port only build or go the whole 4Mil route? What are the benefits of the 4Mil? The only thing I can see is more torque and added displacement. I do mostly trail riding / mx type riding / some duning ready to install: I have 35mm PWK Air Strikers - would PJ34s be a better choice? Cool Head with (20s, 21s, & 22s standard domes) which would be required now? V-Force 3s about to order a new intake (Chariot or Boss Racing w/ built in cross-over) which would you recommend? is the cross-over required or does it make tuning easier? adjustable timing plate - should i go +4 with this build? what pistons do you recommend? brand? What crank? Welded? Trued? If you get the crank welded can it still be rebuilt? What changes would be required for race fuel? what octane? what hp difference should I expect? Thanks.
  15. damn how are you chopping the hole threaded section off? running a dremel around the edge all the way around?
  16. Looking to purchase a fairly new set of Paul Turner Mid-Range Pipes. I have a nearly new set of FMF SST Pipes w/ Stingers I am planning on selling or trading. I will attach a pic of the FMFs. Thanks.
  17. thanks. i see we have similar taste. i also have a 2010 GT500
  18. I guess my account got deactivated from lack of use? I recently picked up a nearly brand new 2006 Special Edition Banshee. I thought I was done with quads after I sold my 2007 YFZ450SE but I missed the Banshee too much and the bug bit me again so I began my search and lucked up with this one. I have already done a few things too it and have quite a bit more in store for it. I did extensive work to my 2002 banshee and hated that I ever sold it. I added pics of my 2001 Raptor, 2002 Banshee, 2004 YFZ450 & 2007 YFZ450SE.
