    marvin shaw

where is the best place to get a rear marvin shaw, matt cant get me a shock built before the bhq ride in october.
  3. if you plan on running shearer sb inframes go with upp intakes, they have better clearance
  4. the engine in my beater bike has double sleeves, i know there is always exceptions but its been a good motor for a friend and continues to be so for me. for full disclosure my beater bike is a stock stroke, 64.50 mm bore, stock carbs and sst pipes. runs good in the woods and trails. doesnt get used for much drag racing.

    colby

met colby to pick up a roller yesterday and everything went great. drove 3 hours to meet him so i was a little worried but the chassis was better than described. wont hesitate to buy from him again.
  6. they can be ported, but with t5 pipes and stock carbs that would be a badly mismatched combo. the serval doesnt even like the t5 from what ive read. imo your best bet is a 4 mil crank with ported stock cylinders. that will kick the shit out of a unported stock stroke setup. as you stated if you go over 4 mil crank your cases have to be trenched. kevin herr told me if you go with a 10 mil and stock cylinders it requires alot of work and welding, its not really worth it with the amount of aftermarket cylinders availible today.
  7. whats your mix ratio?
  8. on my 421 serval im running 35 pwks 160 mains 48 pilots cel needle in the middle clip. i also have the nology coil and wires with shearer inframes. very easy to start on the first kick, hot or cold.
  9. the pipes were some we had laying around, so we were just using them to get it running, and make sure it was all gonna fit and run right.. he is planning on getting a set of custom shearer oof's soon.. hes already got a set of 35 pwks to swap with the stock mikunis he's running now, too..
  10. 2010 yfz 450 x chassis. 1989 banshee engine we bought off a friend that crashed the banshee five years ago and lost his right leg from the knee down. the engine is stock bore, unported, wiseco prolites, coolhead with 20cc domes, stock carbs with k&n pods, fmf sst pipes cut and turned to make out of frames, silencers have been shortened. not the fastest set up but the goal was get the engine in and running in the newer chassis.
  11. ill add a good video of it here in a bit.
  12. ran out and took a filter off mine real quick and i cannot see any part of the slide at full throttle. 35 pwk carbs with adjusters from jeff at fast.
  13. lookin to trade some 165 main jets for some 155 jets for keihin pwk carbs.
  14. yes south of wanette. all we run there is paddles. great place to ride especially now that the water is down.
  15. some of you oklahoma guys should come try the south canadian river in wanette tons of riding area and lots of sand
  16. no way any kind of bigger bowl is gona fit, simply no room for it. send me your email and ill send ya some pics tomorrow or late today.
  17. makes since to me, ive never touched any of the aluminum intakes. with the stock bowls on the pwk's the clutch arm barely misses the bottom of the carb. thanks to the guys who posted the pics for me.
  18. so what do you think about the fit around the filters? ive never had my hands on the older shearers but ive seen a bunch of pics of melted outerwears, filters and chokes. you think maybe the stinger tube has been redesigned? side note: kinda cool for a moderator to not run around banning everyone that disagrees with him. the setup is cerval cylinders, upp intakes, 35 pwk carbs and 6" filters that jeff sent me.
  19. the worst part is i bought 50 ft of heat wrap, 4 cut off wheel blades, paid for half the bottle of argon and drove 20 minutes to the guy who was gonna make sure they fit without hitting everything or burning the air filters. i didnt know if i should be excited or pissed off.
  20. do you know if yours are single o ring or dual? im wondering if there has been a change between the two. also im using upp intakes, kinda wondering if different intakes put the carbs at different heights or angles.
  21. im wondering if there was some tweaking done to the newer double o ring design. ive read post after post saying how shitty the shearers fit. no disputing the FACT many people have had major problems gettin the shearer pipes to fit. not only have they made the post sayin so, many posted the pictures. mine went on perfect. easy to put on an if i find someone local with some single o ring shearers i might swap them to compare the two so i can see first hand wether or not something has been changed.
  22. i have about 1/4 inch of clearance. just to let ya know your a troll if your shearers fit, according to lococracksmoker.
