I always put a little bubble wrap around the tubing when I pull a motor out of any frame. Some cases have casting flaws that you can smooth out with some light sand paper. Can make all the difference with those mounts.sure, it will go in or out. But ya cant tell me that its not a royal pain in the ass without scratching anything. I have the same mounts.

My motor goes in and out with no problem.as cool as the motor mounts look, its a fucking nightmare to get motor in/out if you give two shits about the finish on your frame.

And you jump that like normal?
Yeah, all the time. Do see something that would concern you?

I have the arched motor mounts that HOD does. I opted to put an x brace back in a little further up towards the nose. With inframes you still get the clean look and the brace is pretty much hidden.

Is it the one with the ghetto fab out of frames?I've seen one on face book. If I find it, I'll post it in your other threads.

I've got eye out over here for the same thing. LED is local and has pumped out a couple sets of pipes in the last few weeks for yfz conversions. Talking to the builders, those pipes alleviated a lot of the fab and fitment issues. Bottom part of the R cradle is still mild steel so I can't see too many more obstacles than doing a regular yfz.id LOVE to do one. just waiting on a mx roller to blow sky hi that the owner dosent have a million bucks into.

Started a thread in the yfz conversion section but not sure how many people look there. Anyone heard of or working on a hybrid with the '09+ aluminum chassis?

Not sure but geometry is far superior to the original yfz.how much lighter are these aluminum frames?

Anyone working on or know anyone doing a swap with an '09+ aluminum frame?

Anyone working on one of these? LED has been making some really nice in frames for yfz hybrids.
