I installed new lower tie rod ends yesterday (one was bent ). In aligning the front wheels after installing the tie rods I am looking at the front tire's "squareness" in relation to the rear tires. It looks like the Left side (when viewed from the front) rear tire extends out further than the left front tire by 2 inches or so and the right side (when viewed from the front) front and rears are pretty much even. There are no spacers in the left rear- everything is tight. No damage that I can see to the front arms on the left side either. I stared at it, had a few beers, stared at it some more and cant figure it out. Is there some "asymmetry" in the frame of the bike? I did notice that the right side rear heel fender guards are different widths and that my nerf bars, which appear to be center mounted on the bike protrude out further on the left side (again from the front) than the right.

I rode a friends dads tree farm yesterday. Not real big - 20 acres or so with a tiny sandy area to tear up. The rest is big rectangle of trail around a field. It was OK - been there before. Only gave the shee a shakedown ride - its new to me - the thing shreds! We need to find an owner to give permission to ride. That way we are on private property - cops cant ticket you for anything. Dont have to be registered or insured. I will pay for permission or will pay a lease for the right property. As of now I spend a bunch of time scanning satellite views of NJ looking for pits and blue holes/excavation areas. Anyone check out tri-boro sand in berlin area?

I need a place to ride!! I am a responsible adult looking for some field/trail sand wash/pit type areas to park and ride without the hassle of the police. I am in gloucester county NJ and willing to travel a little. I've done the coal riding in PA - too far of a ride and too rocky! I'd love some jersey sand wash/pit stuff like I grew up on!! Hi all. I just picked up an 06 SE in yellow/black in nice shape. Only mods are T5's and the air box lid has been opened up by the previous owner. There is a Toomey air filter in it as well. (which looks to me like any UNI filter system with Toomey name on it.) Still has TORS which will be taken off soon. Prior owner claims he had someone install the pipes/airbox mod and jetted the bike afterwards. (I dont know what jets he put in it) He runs 20:1 Castor 927 in it. That sounds like a lot of oil to me. Prior owner told me the shop that did the mods told him to run 20:1 and that is what he has done since. The plugs look good - light brown insulator and no buildup/carbon etc. Could be a little leaner but at least I know that it has been well lubricated. Bike smokes quite a bit on startup and cleans out somewhat when riding. The silencer tips get drippy wet with splooge even after a short ride. I am an old man 2 stroke guy so I am used to this - I have a kdx 200 that is worse. From a low rpm if I hammer the throttle, there is a momentary bog. Bike runs great otherwise. Any thoughts on getting rid of the bog? (air screw?) How about the 20:1 ratio? I think I understand the relationship of oil to "lean" or "rich" conditions. Those terms relate to the fuel/air mixture. Add more oil to the mixture and the bike will actually run "leaner" because you are replacing fuel with more oil. So am I right that going to a 32:1 will make the bike run "richer" although with less oil, smoke and splooge out of the pipe? ( or is the extra smoke from the fuel/air mixture as opposed to more oil?) At that point am I looking at smaller main jets to clean it up a bit?

And thats the color of the insulator not the electrode ?

Yep - Jersey and the NE is nuts. I just bought an 06 for 3k and thought it was a good deal. I need my head examined.
