  7. Just need a little tip on how to set the air on carbs... Just bought it and it was missfiring... Coudnt reach power band ... They rebuild top end with wiseco ... Put tomey T-5 exhaust ... And change throtle to twist... The quad sounds like out of time or bad spark plugs.... Mi power at all. I change the plugs... Change the fuel.. problem still the same ... Somebody here told me to check the sync on carbs and I found that they cross the sync cilinders ( I don't know the name ) left on right carb and viseversa. I put them where they go and sync carbs. Now they open nice together but quad won't start at all... They might mess around with the air needles trying to set it to idle or so. My question is how I know they are where they suppose to be ... I have a clymer but it doesn't specify ... Also how u would know I have the wright jettings for Tomey T-5 exhaust ? Any help or tips I would greatly apreciate... Also I want to take pictures as I go just in case somebody else need help ... So far I think I'm heading the wright direction. Thanks guys...
  8. Just bought a shee and the guy that had it before rebuild top end with wiseco ... He change the thumb throtle to twist and never could get him running wright... When start up it seems to be misfiring and not reaching power band ... I took it home and first thing I did was replace plugs and fuel ... Still same... I look at the carbs in the sync window and notice they cross the carb sync cilinders ... The left on right and right on left ... I took them out ... Straight them up ... And did the sync ... Now they open together but quad won't start at all ... It has tomey T - 5 for exhaust. Do I need some special jettings to get this thing running wright ? Also T.O.R.S. is missing ... I saw the plug but box not there... Is there anything else I should do ???
  9. Try sync carbs and found that they have them interchange wrong.. the one for the right carb was in the left and vise versa... That may happens when they did the change to twist ... I put them where they belong ... Now it won't start at all... ......LOL..... I beleave the carbs are out of control.... I Never done the settings of carbs before... All that air settings... I don't have a clue how to do that.... And also saw that the carbs has a little screw on the bottom . Seems to be to drain the carbs... They where closed all the way... So where the air ones... Next step I beleave I should do is remove the carbs for cleaning and to make sure all parts are where they supposed to be.... Thanks for all the Tips... Made my knight mare into a fun adventure... Thanks guys.... I do have a downloadable clymers ... Thanks guys..
  10. Hi guys... Just bought a 98 Banshee ... It have been top end rebuild with wiseco strokes , it has some tomey t-5 exhaust , and throtle was changed to twist... He said he did all these miss but quad doesn't reach power band .. I took home , first thing I did was change spark plugs and new fuel... He cranks wright on but it sounds like has no power.. like something electric is wrong... It sounds like when a car is out if timing or have bad spark plugs... I found some burned cables on the harnes , it looks like they touch the exhaust I cut and repair them but problem still same I been thinking that maybe cdi is damage or stator.. How do I test these ? Or maybe carburators are bad ??? Any help I will apreciate.. Thanks...
