  1. hey guys, I am replacing the clutch in my bike. I took it apart and didnt pay attention like a fool. What order do the plates go in? Does it matter where the nipples on the metal plates go as far as sequence? What about the rubber gaskets, I think those when fiber, metal, rubber gasket, is this right? I appreciate your input. - Dragon
  2. $300 for pipes and silencers? I may be interested.
  3. The trouble with buying a modded one over a stock one is, you don't know what kind of donkey the "mechanic" that did the work was . Loose bolts, "spare parts", the whole nine yards. New is from yamaha, and you add what you want and have who you want to do it do it. i've own 3 banshees, and if i had the oppurtunity and hte cash, i'd work with that guy to buy it. even if you paid $4300 or so, you have ot figure new they were above $5k. if its never been ridden, you're getting a new machine. price out a new YFZ, which on my opinion isnt half the machine the banshee is. just my 2 cents.
  4. i don't know about mudlites, but might i suggest trying to 21 inch mudsharks. I have them on my banshee and they get quite a bit of bite. I used to run sur tracks before they stopped making them.
  5. Back on the forums after many years on a new name. I've owned two banshees prior to my newest one. I owned a 1999 banshee that started with gnarly pipes on a stock motor, then got a dyno port on a stock motor, and then moved to Toomy t-5s after boring it, porting and polishing it, milling the head, new reeds, and a new clutch. My other one, my 2005, was all stock. My newest bike can with DG pipes on a stock motor, and i HATE them. They are loud, the bottom end seems more non-existant than usual, and the keep me from running the gas on anything but reserve. Cheese pipes in my opinion. I'm concidering PT, pro circuit, toomy t-6, or some FMF fatty pipes. i plan on boring the bike, having the head milled or putting a cool head on ( would like advice on this as well, milling as opposed to cool heads), larger carbs, and some VF3 reeds. I've seen the dyno charts, but lets talk real world feel. What have you guys found in your experience? i'm riding gravel pits and trails, but i do not want to lose any of my top end as i also drag race the bike on an amatuer level. any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.
