  1. No isn't getting spark and everything has tested good with my meter
  2. I bought a 95 banshee, it has no key on it and also the tors is removed. There are two sets of wires nutted together and I just wanna make sure they are wired correctly. First one is for the kill switch a black wire and a black/white wire together, is this correct for the kill switch to operate? Also there is a red wire and a brown wire nutted together which I believe would be for the key switch? Do these wires nutted together sound correct or are they messed up. Thanks.
  3. I don't believe it has the rear brake module, I think only 2003 and newer have them or at least that's how it is on my blaster.
  4. No key switch on the bike its been removed. The tors system is completely removed from the carbs and the wires are disconnected. I have a camera, but no photobucket account. There is a red and brown wire nutted together and a black and black/white wire nutted together, I'm guessing that was to bypass the key switch but looking at the wiring diagrams it should be a red/black wire and black wire for the key switch and the black and black/white wire is for the on/off switch.
  5. Just went over the carbs and I have nothing in between the carbs connecting the choke. Also, I tested some connections with a meter, I'm not sure if I 100% did it correctly, but I got 15.6 ohms from plug boot to plug boot, when I took the boots off I got 5.8 ohms. From the orange and black wires on the coil i got .7 ohms, I didnt remove the coil or the wires so I'm not sure If i did it correctly. I didn't test the stator coil or the pick up coil yet, I'm going to go outside and do that now. To get a correct reading on the coil do I need to remove it completely and just test the two tabs where the wires connect or will I get the same reading how I did it with leaving it mounted and leaving the wires connected?
  6. There's nothing connecting the choke tube to the other carb ?
  7. Cleaned the carbs up real good today and tried firing her up, but no luck. I tested for spark and I'm not getting any spark. Any suggestions on what to do next to solve this issue?
  8. Also, does anyone know the bolt size for the plastics? I'm missing a decent bit of them
  9. I had it started in the summer when I was thinking of buying it and the wires were like that, I took the nuts off and cleaned them up and taped them up real good. I'm gonna clean the carbs tomorrow and check to make sure I have good spark. Also sometimes the choke doesn't stay out it'll just go back in but other times it does, any suggestions on a fix for that? and what is the best oil to use and premix and mix 32:1 ?
  10. Just bought a 1995 Banshee from my brother in law for $500. Compression in both cylinders is 120, has a full FMF gold series exhaust, Mikuni carbs, NGK plug wires, and some kind of aftermarket reeds. He was told when he bought it that it was bored out .40 over but doesn't know for sure. The ignition is disconnected and there is a red and brown wire nutted together and a black and black/white wire nutted together, does this seem right? Also, I had it started in the summer, but wasn't able to get it started now, last time it was ran was when i started it but the throttle stuck. Any suggestions on tuning it to get it to run smoothly. What is good to lube the throttle cable to prevent sticking and I took the carbs off today to clean them but didn't take them apart yet, what size jets should I have in there? Any tips or suggestions I greatly appreciate. Thanks ! Also I plan on changing out all the fluids what should I use for gear oil and premix as well as the ratio to mix at and brake fluid? Also is engine ice coolant safe to run too.
