I went from a 15 to a 13. i wanted my 0-60 faster and more torq. going down 2 teeth i removed two links and adjusted my swingarm. my buddy just has extra master link and 14,15 sprocket. easier to change front sproket to the type of riding ur doing. me doing trails ill run 13 all day. draging or dunes ill go back to my 15 tooth so i can go faster longer. the way i look at it its what u like. thats all that matters. me i like going fast real quick i like bottom end. and dont use half links ur sprockets need a even number of links not odd.
  2. I need a stock crankshaft if anybody has one for sale or just wants to get rid of it let me know. I would like one that doesnt need any work done to it.
  3. What would be a list of items i would need to do the job and what crank should i get?
  4. So this is my first Shee and i traded it my 05 Honda Rancher 4x4 for this 03 Shee. It has what i can see on the motor is vf3 reeds, cool heads, and T5's other than that i dont know what domes it has if its been ported, or bored. My issue is yesterday my buddy and i noticed it has some noise coming from the bottom end and when u give it throttle or at idle it has a vibration. Me and my buddy are both like ride it tell it dies but money is tight and wondering if it would be better to tear in to the motor and see what it could be that way if its a bearing or something i could fix it before i have to do a total rebuild which is going to run 5 to 6 bills. But its riding season and all i want to do is ride. So in short Q#1 any ideas what the noise and vibration could be? Q#2 should i just rip in to it and see what it is or ride tell it dies? Q#3 what would be the best rebuild kit be to get as of what is out right now?

I know i'm a noob but mine did that after i cleaned the air filter and repatched my gas tank. it ran fine for ten minutes while i was driving it and when i parked it and let it sit for a few minutes i put it in gear and it fell on its face. I started it and it would run give it throttle and it bogged down. try this if u can get it to start again while giving it throttle shake the whole bike like ur stuck in a mud pit. And my bike came out of it and has ran great. I figured i had loosened some shit in the tank and it was clogging the pitcock. hope this helps.
  6. My buddies bke is powder coated black. Couple weeks ago he tapped a tree, and when i mean tap he just barley hit it and chipped off the powder coat. id go paint cause it would be easier to touch it up.
  7. I run VF3 with t-5 pipes on my shee and dont have a problem, and my motor is stock. All my motor has is cool heads. Hope this helps.
  8. Well just thought id get back with you guys and say thinks for all the good advice. Sunday got all my new parts put on the bike. New 120 link chain, rollers, top slider, 13 tooth front sprocket, new stator cover and bolts, repaired the sh*ty gas tank bolts so now i can take my tank off alot easier. clipped all the tors wiring off, hid the key, and took apart the rear end to clean it up. Again just wanted to say thanks.
  9. I just bought my first shee and i have been adding things to it that the previous owners decided not to do. Anyways my question is when i bought the bike it came with a new clucth still in the box. i asked the guy what he runs in the bike and he stated type F transmission fluid. Should i wait for the clutch to go and then run belray or stick with the type f since thats whats inside the motor?

  11. I have a 03 banshee and I see on some of the post people saying get rid of the boost bottle. What is the good and the bad of doing this?
