If it were me, i would not lean out the needle(raising the clip) first. Id lower the clip(richen it) all the way to the bottom. Usually if your chugging along and roll into the throttle and it want to stall or have a deep drowning sound thats a lean condition. If your chugging along and roll into it and it wants to sputter then you gotz a rich condition. For your mods( if that actually all that done id make sure you have a 27.5 pilot, 280-290 main and needle in the middle clip or favor the bottom clicks. As far as your timing, id run no more then +4. Actually id run it at zero until your shit is sorted out. Also if your running pods/outter wears make sure they are both super clean and not too over oiled. And if your trail riding, if you have paper filters(k&n) throw them out and get a dual stage uni filters.

I bought them 15 years ago. I barley see the 22/11/8 extreme SLS. The rollout is 7X
How can I check the R/O?
I still believe 16/43 is too tall
I believe 10mill cubs still would outform my KT 10mill Trex
To check your ro either pull tire off quad, or jack rear of quad in the air. Run your desired air pressure and use a tape measure(i use a small 1/4”wide stanly steel tape) and measure the circumference of the center of the tire. -
What RO are your rear tires? On my 10cub i ran 15t front and 42/43rear for 300’ track with 14paddle stg. (78RO. )I weighed about the same as you do. Bike weighed 280ish race ready. Ran 3.9s very consistent.

Case work for a 7-10mil will cost 300. Good billet cranks 7-10mil 1100ish.
If your only working with 2k, get a 421cub. Would make 70-100hp depending on who does it. -
Get another compression tester. Ive seen testers straight out of the box be completely inaccurate. Also you need the correct length nipple(same length as plugs) to get accurate reading. My favorite compressor tester ive ran across for the money is a craftsman. It comes as a kit with everything you’d need.

Take the stock hangers that have spit and drill 2 1/4” holes and bolt them back together. Just snug them and bend the last thread or two over on the bolts so the nut doesnt back off.

Those yamaha sxs are so sexy. The can ams are sweet too!

Lock out arms are supposed to be “loose”. Pull the bitch apart and then ask question if needed. If your clutch basket is worn bad it will chatter and that maybe the noise you hear. It has nothing to do with your shift shaft or shift star. Something else is going on.

Out rode stock suspension all the time. Bottomed it out on a simple 4' jump.
I apologize. I had a bad day yesterday. The women was being mean and made me get rid of my guns. I just came on the site to vent a bit. I was just being a smart ass. -
Yea, JD says the same thing, but we all know that's BS.
Just because your wifey capped your spending moneyz and you had to settle for alba arms, doesn’t mean everyone else’s wifeys operate in the same manner. -
Did you sell the chassis?
-
Buck been angry and negative as fuck ever since his wife made him pull a JD and sell the drag bike and skip the HQ rides.
I’ll never understand that kind of shit.
If my wife said to sell my bikes, I’d tell her start looking for an apartment.
I guess that’s the difference between an alpha male and beta male.
Lol. Quite the opposite there chief. She was actually pissed when i sold my bikes. But your allowed to think what ya want.

NOBODY on this site is capable of out riding stock suspension! NOfuckingBODY. All you dumb fucks spending big money for shocks are pickle suckers. Period.

How so? I assume you have a set and/or have wrecked them?
Or do you just assume that since they're half the price of everyone else?
I installed 3different sets on a buds bike 3yrs ago. First set didnt fit, sent them back, second set got bent 2ride out from a rock, and the third set he put on because they are cheap so he could sell the bike. Like i said, they are bottom on the barrel. Fuck, full flight is on another level then alba. -
Damn, that bike looks real good.
-
Alba haha. Those are fucking junk period

I hear that there are 0 HP gains between a 2" long filter and the 10" or whatever those long donkey dick ones are. I used to run 4" on my drag bike they were convenient.
FAST is great people.
Probably 8yrs ago i did some dyno runs with my old 4mil stock cyl setup. I changed between several size k&ns, knock off k&ns and stage 2 foam uni filters. Ever pull that bike made was within 2hp. Hell some pulls the unis made more then the big k&ns. So yeh, i believe filters are filters, some just add way more protection then others. With that said, i do believe a bigger filter will keep a “higher performance” for a longer period of time in dirty riding conditions. And for the record, all paper filter suck ass unless your in sand. Uni ftw

Toomey needles are the very best needle imo for stock carbs. They are longer and have more of a taper to them making them more tunable. Just buy them and be done
