I would be really happy if I made 100hp. But not getting my hopes up. I would be happy if i'm get to 90. Any tips how to get them numbers. How much timing? -

I have a few questions. Thinking of building an alki motor. Can i do so on stock cylinders. Is it worth it or just run race fuel.what reeds would I need. This would be my first alki.build. have no clue where to go with it. List of what I have. 4 mil stock cylindrs drag ported by k&t perf. Pro design cool head 22cc domes custom cut for no spacer. Cases port matched. Ricky stator with timing plate. 34mm mikuni fla t slide carbs

No fmf fattys. Holysheet....thats an old issue but yes choke tube is between the carbs. -

Yeah had that problem before with the slides. And yeah it was top end power. Thats what I was thinking mabye the pilot. 2 turns -

Not sure about reeds got new ones on the way. They are still the stock reeds just rebuit to day. Took them apart not clogged. But I am still running a 25 pilot. Going to get A 27.5 and 30s tomorrow. Synced by looking and playing with them no sycn tool -

Oh yeah runs great on top end. And there is nothing fancy. Stock cylinders. No porting. Stock carbs. And fmf fattys. -
Where to where do I measure from. To find the correct deck height. And what is stock deck height.

JUST TOP END AND HONED THE CYLINDERS NEW PISTONS AND RINGS..TOOK ADVICE FROM A FRIEND STATED THEY DON'T NEED BORED....GREAT ADVICE HUH... YES I CONSIDER DO THAT BUT NOT TILL AFTER I GET MY COMPRESSION BACK....FROM MY UNDERSTANDING DOING A LEAK DOWN TEST HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE COMPRESSION ONLY THE BOTTOM HALF OF THE MOTOR..AND IT WILL MAKE IT RUN LEAN AND LIKE CRAP...I SEE WHERE UR COMING FROM...GOING TOMORROW TO GET CYLINDERS BORED AND NEW PISTONS... THEN PUTTING THE MOTOR BACK TOGETHER THEN GOING TO DO A LEAK DOWN TEST AFTER MY COMPRESSION BACK TO 120-130....

I REBUILT TOP END ON MY 03 BANSHEE AND RAN COMPRESSION TEST FIRST TEST WAS 120 ON LEFT AND 100 ON RIGHT THEN RAN HEAT CYCLE DROPPED TO 100 ON LEFT 90 ON RIGHT RAN DOWN ROAD TODAY AND NO TOP END FELL ON ITS FACE.... I NEED HELP DON'T WANT TO RE DUE TOP END AGAIN THERE WHERE NO SCRATCHES IN CYLINDERS WHEN REBUILT RE HONED AND PUT BACK TOGETHER...
