585 twister

hard pack dirt. hopeing to get the tiller on it but nice wa. weather. we normaly ride in oregon i know its a long way just trying to get it to take off. we will have some play days strarting off to get the ball rolling. no lights yet.

Just getting it started.. but im sure we could find a moped that would line up with ya.

starting up a 300ft dirt drag strip PARKMOND RACEWAY 41733 challenger rd. Concrete Wa. Saturday may 5th noon sign in, 1:00 races start race till dark. Come one come all just a playday to get started. We will race anything from built banshees to your sisters moped. Hope to see some of you there..

the motor is at twister, and redline is building me a tranny. i should have all the peices before then. i will be able to make more than 4 passes. we are looking forward for the next race.

the wife and i made it down there in ten hrs. sunshine, good people. the stater went out on her stocker, run time 5 min. then finaly got mine started and make 4 passes blown second gear or something. then ten hr. drive home..the track was set up nice down there they did a great job. there were some good races.

IM probably going to kick my self in the ass for not going..wanting to try new swingarm from stellar out,new paddles and lowered it with struts......F#%*....NEXT TIME

you might try a skat trak sls hauler its lighter on the +8 maybe a 11 paddle it will still give you good take off and you will still have good top end. the +6 a 10 paddle will work good

in sand, 22/11/8 haulers or eetremes.....+4 to 6 swingarm 10 paddle, +8 to 10 12 paddle..all depends on what you have for a swingarm and how you ride

We went there last year and it was pretty dead..had fun ridein the bowls. most excitement there was when a kids throttle stuck wide open on top of olds and he hit revers down the hill he went and my buddy running after him. hit the kill switch almost to the bottom. then my buddy face planted it...

he had problems with the niklesil coatings, head studs pulling threads, cylinder studs brakeing,melt downs.hes detuned it alot and its holding together now..it was set up when he bought it but spent alot getting it right..the twister has a boreable sleeves and u can go bigger cheaper. usualy if u stick a piston u can just rehone it and slap new pistons in it and the pistons can be bought over the counter. where his can usaully screw up the nicesil and has to send the cylinder off to get fixed and has to order pistons. ive have both styles of cylinders on a few things. it just can get real spendy haveing one set up wrong

i have a 10mil. 76.5 big block on alky. i run the hell out of it.it just keeps going.buddy has a535 10mil. cheeta and has problems all the time with it.

thanks guys..im sure sooner than later i will have to go longer. but its fun...gearing is strange but it pulls like a mother and i like to play off the strip to maybe thats why i havent went longer yet..i was just tryin to get any ideas of +3 or +3.5 foward with a +14 swinger if anyone has ran it.

i have a stock j-arm frame buffed front tires no front brakes +10 swinger marvin shaw shocks 22/ 12 paddle haulers 585 tister on alky 1-5 trans 15/40 gears 300ft drags in sand..takeing off in second hell of a time keeping nose down. im 230.. thinking of going to a +14 swinger and maybe +something foward on j-arms.any ideas
