  1. Thanks to the both of you for the input, Matt I will wait for your call. in the meantime, I borrowed a nitrogen tank but the regulator would only go up to 600 psi so I put in 600 and it seems real stiff, real stiff (REAR) I posted that it was a plus 10 swingarm, cause thats what the previous owner said, lets say its a plus 6-8 would that change the psi? Now the front seems real soft whats the magic # for the front? Thanks, Rick
  2. What is the nitrogen charge for a Marvin Shaw hill shooter rear shock, 260 pound rider plus 10" swing arm? Just an idea please, the previous owner said he let some nitrogen out. I did leave Matt a message at So Cal Suspensions to discuss rebuilding these for my weight and ride style. (Fat & Comfortable) Thanks Rick
  3. Thanks Mike. Do you know if Pro Tech in temecula has a Dyno? I really need to call them but been busy. We are trying to get a guys trip to Glamis the weekend of the 15th, possibly just a day trip not sure yet, I work at Paradise Chevrolet in Temecula, Service Manager. A few of the guys ride quads. If you want to tag along, you are more than welcome to. Where is Wicked located? Thanks for your input Mike Rick
  4. Thank you for the reply Jared, I will probably not tear down yet as this thing runs way to good, and idles great as well. Up the street, its fast, scary fast. I will be in Glamis in a few weeks to see what it runs like up the hill. I know my post was a little long in the tooth, should be more specific, The engine set up, RD400 rod with YSF 200 pistons and 18cc domes. I will run 110 race gas. compared to stock what is the difference in rod length and piston diameter, and any idea on ROUGH hp numbers? Thank You
  5. Good catch, the hand written note on the envelope said 91 Banshee, closer inspection of the paperwork indicates its a 1990. Thank You
  6. First time in, a newbie, with a newbie question. Did some horse trading and ended up with a 91 Banshee. I will post some pics soon. I think its pretty cool but in no way compares to some of the Big Boy stuff i have seen here, yes, I have been lurking, its my dirty little secret. In a nutshell, Nitrous, Marvin Shaws I was told a 410cc motor (thats where the question is) amp link, plus 10" swing arm, lots of other stuff to. My question is about the engine, and I just want some feedback, The recipts show Alba racing in Poway built the motor, here is what went in it Pro X rod kit RD 400 rebuild & weld crank Weisco 573ps YFS 200 pistons porting ($500) boring 35mm air strk carbs fmf ram valve cool head pro design domes 18cc pro design intake piston coating ?? Hinson billet somthing, i assume basket Done about 12 years ago, What I like is the detail the guy put into the whole bike, has not been molested. The best part is I traded a built Rapter for it. I will use the bike to haul my fat ass up the hill at Glamis, and try to beat as many folks as I can. I am looking for a dyno in or near Temecula Ca., to have the bike tuned and get some HP numbers. I saw a suspension sponser here in my area, and I will be calling him to set up the Marvins for my weight and the Glamis whoops. 20 plus years ago I would race a built nitrous 250r and when I set up the suspension up it made all the difference in the world. Give me your thoughts on the motor, possible HP expectations the Marvins in the whoops (they look like the hill shooter, but remember this looks like an older build) and last, what do you think of the J arm frame, its all chrome so it looks okay, but I saw some nice a arm rollers for sale. Thanks Gents...
