  1. ive got those same sizes on mine and they grip great in the trails-mine came off a can am 450, the guy said they were too tall at 21' cos he does motor x. i only really ride tight trails with them when off road and they still look brand new
  2. have checked the obvious sites like motosort.com etc and ebay but if anyoneone knows of others please say!! i desperately need the blue and white left side tank shroud sticker- i want my bike to stay stock graphics and have all them all intact except this one-previous owner blasted it with a jetwash. its fully road legal in the UK and want it looking as it should- Proper in my opinion cheers all!
  3. I got just T6s with a filter and went to the welsh mountains on the weekend worrying i wouldn't keep up as there were 15 of us inc 4 banshees. 2 had Athena kits both with VF4s. They could not get away from me on dirt or road. People bash the T6s but they perform great if you want a fun alrounder. A well riden fully stock (bar the k&n) with T6s is a fun bike and souds great. Put it this way i caned my bike all weekend on road and dirt - first trip since getting legal for the street and she was faultless.just ebay mikuni hex jets, theyr just a few dollars. Get it right the first time as on our trip one of the Athena shees blew, probably down to rushing the jetting
  4. Welcome to the addiction, all my mates have various 4strokers but i would never even consider not having my banshee, i too am going down the bolt on route as in over in the uk and don't really trust the builders over here to touch it. Ill enjoy mine with just pipes and good suspension until i eventually go 421 serval. Pipes and shocks will amaze you
  5. X2 i have to do the same here in the UK- you can get anyting thing from the US you want.
  6. check out MOTOSPORT.COM i found this site for oem
  7. does your motor rev real high- even for a banshee? I have had to do alot of research on jetting when i started to mod my stock bike- i know stock are 200 mains (190 and up to 210 or 220 are supplied from the dealers depending on altitude/temp of location of where your shee was sold new) needle jet on middle clip of 5 and 25 pilot.. jetting is ruled by your mods, altitude and temp. there is no 'i have fattys so need 270s, or i have toomeys so need 280s' rule to go by. since you say you have 190s in a bike with k&n no lid and fattys you must be way too lean unless your way up above the clouds or on Mars!! my advice would be to post your altitude and temperature and dont ride her until some of the guys who are far more knowledgable than me on here speak up! i know you've had the bike for 3 yrs but a lean condition will FUCK your motor- maybe not imediately but it WILL! search the site and be prepared to read up- it'l save you $$$$$$s do a plug chop also on fresh spark plugs AFTER you get more advice- but need altitude and temp
  8. im definately gona try the toomey needles- im gona dyno my bike as soon as i get it back from the shop with the toomeys fitted- its being made street legal at the mo. my main jetting is dialled in well but my mid range needs a bit of tinkering. let us know how you get on with the T6s and the VF4s- 27.5 sounds right as im sure you need to rejet the pilot for these reeds so as you said you should be on the money there. just remember the golden rule of jetting- change one thing at a time and take the time needed. then if somethings not right you know where you went wrong- if you change a needle setting at the same time as a main jet it can get complicated as well as fuckin frustrating. when you say 4th clip do you mean 4th from the pointy end i presume? where im running stock needle it'l be on the 3rd - middle of 5 right- so when i go with the toomeys and i want to richen it up a little i think i should go for the 4th from pointy end and go from there. do let me/us know how you get on buddy
  9. your looking rich to me-I have the T6s at 500-1000 ft (although its a bit cooler here) on a pretty much stock bike- - it needs to be a light coffee colour. have you tried a plug chop on the 290s or 280s. i know people will say 'waste of perfectly good plugs' but for the cost of that compared to the potential damage due to poor jetting i happily chopped my plugs to make sure im as dialled in as poss. im still running 25 pilot and stock needle- i have the 27.5s and toomey needles but am yet to try these- did you run the T6s with the stock needle before the toomeys? ive read on here people cant get on with the toomey needles and went back to the stocks- how are you getting on with dialling in the midrange?
  10. i'd be up for an RD500 V4 2 stroke motor in a banshee-been done yet?
  11. im thinking of one too as my hand aches with clutch pull due to it being broken when i was a kid
  12. after some research i read- when converting US IRO to UK RON 90=95 and 94=98?? 98 has been available in the UK for years now and SHELL has just brought out their 99 RON octane. my shee is stock motor with just toomey T6 pipes and KN filter and is jetted just right for sea level and temp (although i read octane does not affect jetting right??) is this too higher octane for a stock motor? I'm looking into getting a NOSS or CHARIOT head for more comp/bottom end/rebuildability and bling factor- when i get my crank welded and don't know which cc domes to get as they are chosen through US ROI fuel ratings I currently run the 98 with Putoline MX7 premix which are the best pum fuel available in the UK Anyone have any knowledge with this?- want as lower cc as poss and being in the UK get parts from US so have to be very specific with my purchases cheers
  13. I say listen to hoppedupandcutdown- hes talking some sense- i have no mechanical skills at all really but have a motor mechanic brother and the guys on here for advice and the satisfaction you get from working on the banshees is great especially in a world now made up of only new 4 strokes- all my friends ride big raptors etc and they still can't admit i have more fun on my shee and theirs cost 2/3 times as much as mine. Get the banshee and make it your own and another + point- you will NEVER struggle to get parts- oem or aftermarket due to them being built from '87-2010 and this means the market is competetive = good deals
  14. give the op a break- type into ebay- banshee genuine keihin 30 and see what comes up- big $$$s but why are they not on the website?? are these fakes then??
  15. hey, yeh X2 on the post in wanted- guys on here will help you out
  16. $4000 for one of the ugliest banshee ive ever seen
  17. no worries, ill keep you updated. if you just need yours made agri to get it moving along then im sure my place can do it.
  18. my first banshee was Agri registered, got through a shop which did have to insure it to do it. this place doing mine now have done many more utility quads like brand new yamaha grizzlys etc- they have done 1 banshee 5 odd years ago. they used to make these straight to plg but through their experience with MSVA they now do all their bikes how they are doing mine unless you insist its MSVA'd. theyve had mine about a month now so should be done soonish. I even saw their fully plg'd raptor 250 with no probs and use it to buy lunch! maybe you could pay a shop to Agri register it should only be bout £200-300- fit the road kit and get it MOT'd yourself and then send the Agri V5 and MOT Doc to DVLA and they swap tax class to PLG for about £40 ill post up how i get on
  19. yeah they look cool but i don't have £$£ to burn! i live just in the countryside but can get to the center of London in about an hour at traffic pace- im thinking blast bys past Buckingham palace, Harrods, over Tower bridge, through Hyde park just for the novelty factor! im pissing my pants with excitement right now
  20. here in the UK you can do it 2 ways- agricultural is obviously aimed at farmers to access their land- no mods needed to a stock shee but can only travel about 3 miles from registered property. PLG makes the quad classed as a car- the only con is car level road tax, pros i can ride anywhere even up the freeway/motorway and like Glenboy said dont need to do a seperate bike licence as its classed as a car. you can take a stock banshee and make it straight to PLG but it is very expensive. loop hole- make it agricultural- fit the road kit- indicators, horn etc and get the Agri registered bike MOT'd and then change class to PLG with the DVLA/DMV. im having mine fitted with a battery like the RD350 so it gets charged by the stator- you could get by without the battery but you need to have the hazards workable should you break down hence the need for a battery for the MOT. i do have a stock exhaust but this won't be a problem- the guy who owns the classic shop is mates with the MOT center guy = job done Glenboy cheers for the link- i think i have it all covered and im confident they know what theyre doing since they race and restore classic cars. im in kent- not far from u- where do you ride?
  21. im getting it done by a local classic car restoration shop- its got to be fully legal or theres no point. so my banshees currently sitting there amongst an aston martin DB5, racing E types Jags, morgans and about 20 various lotus. they're making it agricultural, do the MOT then swapping to PLG. much cheeper. straight to PLG was £1200 up near Manchester.
  22. mines in being made street legal at the moment we got nowhere to fuckin ride over here- so going street legal gives us options to ride land/woods but have to be covert as fuck- believe me quads are the devil over here- general public hates them hence needing the extra fuel to be as elusive as possible! my mates each have fully legal raptors, a warrior, DS650 and im the last one to get done but mines obviously the banshee cant wait to blow some 2 stroke smoke up their ass
  23. deadbeat you legend- thats the one and its cheap, i can log into ebay.com and get one sent over
  24. cheers starwriter- im also not keen on the looks too which is why i want an easily removed one. interesting idea on the tank- cant run pods over here- wish i could but its just too wet and muddy most of the time (this is poxy english weather!)- we have virtually nowhere to ride in the UK so have got registered so i can access local forest terrain off the roadside. if it were strictly a street bike i'd have pods for sure but i love getting stuck into the dirt too much for that. ive seen these racks on other shees but not where theyre available- can anyone point me in the right direction or sell me one??
  25. heres another pic of what im after i know i should post in the wanted section but would be happy with just info of where to get one- cheers
