  1. It's a aftermarket stator, i checked the pick-up gap and its within spec at both nubs, and both boots are fine im running pro design manifolds.. usually i have no problem figuring things out but this one is frustrating must be something im forgetting..
  2. Hey guys, I followed through with the info yous gave me and i still have no luck.. I'm stumped ! its running richer on one cylinder... i cleaned carbs, jetting is the same in both, checked reeds, did another leak down.. i swapped cdi & coil, also ran a ground from coil to motor i tested stator and it reads correct ohms.. could the stator possibly still be bad ? Whats going on ? Any more info would be greatly appreciated !
  3. My banshee is working quite bad.. Cutting out, and not pulling at all quite weird as my jetting was perfect, I did a leak down and checked over everything fuel / air related and everything seems to be fine. I went down the road a while ago with it and it was still working bad and as I got up in the mid / top end range it was like nothing was wrong it cleaned right up and Pulled like a @$#ker ,it did it once more than right back to working like shit ! I tested my stator right away and it was fine.. If someone could point me in the right direction of where to start that would be great.. Thank you
  4. No actually I'm running the Vito's big bore 13 degree angle domes and pistons, if I decide on pump fuel looks like I'll need some custom domes.. Like you said pluses and minuses for both
  5. My current squish is .042, I'm using Vito's 13 degree dome angle domes. Squish is within spec
  6. I just recently got my 421 together, I'm running it with pump 91 octane with pro design cool head and 24 cc domes at sea level. i did a compression test today and my compression raised to 160 psi after break-in, i know its quite high for 91 octane, and my timing is still at 0" I want to advance it 4 degrees.. i'm thinking I'll have to get some custom domes to run pump fuel, but if i was to run a higher octane what would you's recommend i run ? just curious because this is my first time playing with my bike with the compression bumped up, Any info would be great thanks !

  8. I'm quite interested in the serval I've been reading some good stuff about them, I was looking on the CP site and didn't see them there ? Does CP industries make servals ? or does someone else, I see them on ebay but was curious as to who manufactures them ?
  9. That would be nice to have at a pump, not that lucky around here unfortunately, I might go try the local drag track See if they carry 94
  10. Yes that's what I got on my comp check with a cold engine
  11. I'm from New Brunswick so i can only get 91 premium at the pump, I'll just compensate with some octane booster. Thanks for info
  12. Hey there guys was just wondering if i can get some info on if i should be mixing with race fuel, I have a 421 with 24cc domes at sea level, compression check showed 150 psi each cylinder, I'll be running 91 octane pump fuel, any info would be great ! thanks
  13. Was wondering if i could get some information on what jetting to run with the 485 cheetah at sea level + dome size ( 91 octane pump gas) would like to know what people are running to start with a good base , I have Keihn D-slide carbs.
  14. i have stock cylinders with the vitos 404 big bore sleeve, with the long rod 4mill crank, Im running V-force Delta 2 reeds, with the pro design manifold system and boost bottle, and Fmf fatty exhaust
  15. Hey there was wondering if i could get a few opinions or suggestions on what size of main jets i should use with my 421 at sea level, to give me a better idea of where to start and save the troubleshooting. I have Keihn D- Slide Carbs, i think my main jet size right now with the stock .040 bore is 130's, i thought when re-jetting bore size didnt come into play, but i was told when im going with the big bore (404 Vitos) it did, any info would be appeciated. If You need to know what other mods i have done, just give a post thanks - Kevin
  16. would like to get some info and opinions on where to install my temp gauge to get the most accurate reading, Thanks
  17. Im running BR8ES's
  18. Ive just put my engine together today and ran into an issue i was having with my last engine, at top end it will start cutting out with my dyna ignition and timing plate set at zero, than swap back to my stock cdi and the cut out at high rpms goes away.. so when my timing is advanced it cuts out.. any info would be appreciated thanks,
  19. wow now i know a good part of my detonation issue, was never informed about decreasing on the timing plate, makes more sense. Does the dyna go over 4 degrees during the curves / stock curve, or is 4 degrees its max ?
  20. makes more sense, i took a look at the chart today and thought to myself it could'nt be right, just wanted to make sure. So is the stock curve the same as the stock cdi ? or is it + 4 also
  21. Hey there was just looking at the fs dyna curve chart, and noticed that the curves actually start at around + 17 degrees ?? Am i understanding this right ? if so, That solves my detonation issue, Thanks
