I have my wheeler apart right now because of a top end. I noticed I can move my rod a little side to side by the lower rod bearing. Not like wiggle like they usually do a little, like actually can slide it a tiny bit between the thrust washers. Is my crank separating or am I worried over nothing?

Well here's the pics from my tear down. Not too bad. Was definitely lean though like I figured. Here's right before I took her apart, Got the intake off and the left side was definitely messed up. Not sure why? Head gasket was pretty much toast. All warped and not much of the rubber left on the metal part of it. Had water in my pipe and this seems to explain it The right side was the bad side. Not horrible though. Piston melted to the head a little and a tiny tiny bit on the cylinder wall at the very top that I think can be bored out fine. No scores The piston definitely was hot though. Right side is the first pic left is the second Once the cylinders were off I noticed on a transfer port that the aluminum from the cylinder wasnt tight to the actual cylinder wall. Not sure if that will hurt anything. I think it was like this but not sure. Hopefully is shows ok in the pic That's pretty much it. I'll post pics of the rebuild when I get parts. Might be a while

Yes you will have to jet up to run pods. There is a search though. You couldve found that easily without starting a new thread.

Was the piston for the right bore size? Almost sounds like the ring wasn't tight enough to the ring clip. I had it happen twice with my Vito's super stock pistons. Wasn't sure why because they matched the bore size.

Call Jeff at fast. He was awesome helping me with jetting. I have alba +2+1 arms and fox long travel shocks. Best purchase besides porting. Tip for next time though, there's a jetting thread that people list mods and carbs and jets and stuff, I'm positive you could find your set up in there. Good luck with the shee and I'm sure you will have a blast with it. If its in good shape, $900 isn't too bad for just needing a topend. I'd have the crank trued and welded though too. Then you have no worries.
