  1. I've done the extra TORS mod, really good bang for the buck mod.
  2. Man I love this thing. Why haven't I had a banshee in my life all my life? I had a 06 450r, 440ex, 400ex, 250x and some other odds and ends I think I like the Banshee the best. When that two stroke twin starts howling there is nothing like it.
  3. Do you know if comp cams makes a 3/4 race cam for the banshee?
  4. I didn't even try to explain to him that it has two cams and not just one because I didn't want to ruin the deal.
  5. The dude I got it from said it has been bored, he then went on to say that it has cam work too lol. I don't know what is in it now as far as pistons. You wouldn't recommend shaving the head?
  6. Dang, now I'm going to be worried about my crank grenading. I'm not splitting the cases on this thing right now. It's a 98 and it's probably been beat on for almost 15 years now, hopefully if it hasn't came apart by now it's not going to. I think I'll just hang on to the T5's for a while and maybe paint them or something.
  7. What's the deal with the crank welds? I've never heard of this before.
  8. Well, I want top end, I don't even want to kid myself trying to give this thing low end, I want it to scream. I think it's going to be a back road warrior for the most part. I thought about the timing plate idea. It has the stock airbox and it even still has the lid but with some holes in it. Maybe just some pod filters, cool head and timing plate would do the trick. I think my first mod is going to be some yfz450 shocks. I thought fatties were for top end and the sst were for bottom?
  9. What's up. I just picked up a 98 'shee. I'm really in love with the thing, it might be my favorite fourwheeler. It's pretty clean and it runs reallly good. I raced my friends 06 450r and once I got the shifts down we are dead even all the way up to top speed, neither of us will pull on the other. The known mods on it are Toomey t5's and a k&n air filter, and I"m sure it's prolly jetted too. The only thing I'm concerned about so far is when I was riding yesterday it sounded like it was pinging some at low rpms. I'm running cheap mineral oil from Kawasaki (I know) at 32:1. Does anybody think that if I got some caster927 and mixed it at 36:1 if it would richen me up some to prevent that pinging. Also what is another simple bolt on that I could get to edge out that fo-fiddy. I was thinking of trying to find some biggere carbs but I don't know what size would be a good upgrade from stock.Also are the T5's a good exhaust? I really like the look of chrome fmf fatties with the fmf mufflers.
