im not a kid im just a guy who liked the sound of his kx 250 with a shorty and was wondering if there is anything out there for a banshee to make it sound like that thanks for being an ass about it and yeah i do repack my silencers when they need it i dont feel like cruising around with junk on my bike

what kind of power differences did you see when you did that? and did it make a noticeable sound difference?

this may be a dumb question but i was wondering if there are any shorty pipes being made for a banshee i loved the sound of an fmf shorty silencer or a pro circut shorty on my bikes i used to have and would like to know if its been done on a banshee and what kind of power gin or loss i would have?

i dont have a manual, and i already looked through that thread but i want to see what i have to take apart to split the case and get to the seals not how to put a whole bottom end together because i dont want to completely tear it down

does anyone have a tutorial or video or pictures to help show me how to split my cases and replace my crank seals?

if my rings arent installed properly could that affect the starting and the not firing on one cylinder?

i had switched the carbs over and it did the exact same thing on the right side so i dont think its the carbs, it ran about 4 months ago without pouring smoke from the right pipe like it is now. how do i go about doing a leak down test?

i rebuilt it because it busted a ring before, will a bad crank seal affect being able to start it and its compression?

i sent my cylinders off to a machine shop got them bored to the right specs and put it together myslef, would the crank seal affect it on not firing on the one cylinder?

i just rebuilt the top end on my banshee i put it all together the right way which i have done before, but when i went to start it it never started so i gave it a push start and it fired up but was pouring smoke and oil from the right cylinder and not firing on the left cylinder? i changed plugs switched carbs over switched reeds over swithcehd plug wires over and it always does the same thing i dont know what the problem is? it cannot kick start on its own either because of this do you guys have any idea what it might be? i really hope its nothing major

i have a 1989 banshee for sale i cant figure out whats wrong with it i just bought brand new namura top end kit and had it installed ( have receipt for the namura top end still) when i went to kick it it wouldnt start so i pushed it around for a second and it started but was only firing on the right cylinder, and it was pouring white smoke and oil from the right pipe i dont know whats wrong with it so its going for sale, its back brakes need new pads and it comes with 2 sets of plastics one blue set thats cut in the front and in decent shape and a red set thats cut in the front and the back but the back has zip ties in it, i will also include a set of extra jugs that need bored. i will upload pics when i get home. im in middletown ohio which is inbetween cinccinatti and dayton. make me an offer

i am currently saving up money to buy a yfz frame to do a conversion and i had a few questions from some of the guys that have done that already i know from folling some threads and doing research that there is no major issue with fitting a banshee motor in a yfz frame i am confident i can do it but i was wondering about how everyone has pipe issues, are there any brand of pipes out there that can directly bolt on without any modification to the pipes or the frame? and i was also wondering if the new aluminum frames are the same because i would love an aluminum framed banshee

i just ordered a set a 65mm pistons for my banshee and i was wondering how much it should cost for me to get my cylinders bored? i am in middletonw ohio if any of you guys near here have gotten bored for a good price let me know

thanks for the info guys, dont worry im gonna get everything bored and to spec i just wanted to know what everyone thought on them, they should be here monday so i guess i will just have to wait and see how it goes

i would have loved to buy some wiseco pro lites but im tight on money right now so i went with namura, hopefully they hold up long

i was more thinking for on the looks side of things what you guys think i should do i have ridden both and there really isnt much difference if any in handling

i have a 1989 j arm banshee that here soon i am going to be redoing on the looks side of it, i am getting some fullbore plastics but i was wondering should i buy a a arm frame or buy some extended j arms? any opinions on what i should go with and any pics of what you run would be appreciated
