  4. I have one idle screw and need the other for a TOES eliminator set up. The tap I have is the M6 X 0.75. (Not too sure if they are all the same size.) Thanks for your time
  5. Thanks for all the help. I got it figured out. An experienced banshee buddy of mine came over and rode it. I guess I just wasn't getting in it hard enough. Shifts fine now. Thank you again.

  7. i had kind of the same issue with mine last year, on my first ride after a re-build at that. any way did you check and make sure that there are not any burnt wires along the frame near the exhaust? that was what my issue was.

Ok. so i got the shee all back together today after adjusting the clutch and changing the exhaust. took it out for a ride up and down the road and noticed that the shifting seems to be sticking . ran it some more and figured out that if im not in the powerband that it shifts fine through all 6 gears. but if i get into the powerband that going from third to fourth is hard to do unless i slow down a little. i have tried adjusting the clutch cable and that didnt work so i thought maybe if i move the shifter lever, nope wrong again . so now im stuck . i dont really have alot of smarts on banshees yet . just got this one arround this time last year, and had to rebuild it. well any info/help would be a big help . thanks for your time and input.   9. thanks for all the help guys!!! i got her running i changed the plug wires and plugs and it fired first kick o yeah time to tear shit up!!!!!!!
  10. alright ill have to try new plugs and i did clean them both at the same time. also i tore the fly wheel down yesterday and the key is good i will get back to y'all tomorrow it's pay day so i can get some plugs. but does anyone think that i might have fried the CDI at all when i fried the wires with the exhaust?
  11. ok i have spark now and didnt hook up the tors box. but now it's still not starting, CDI maybe. what happened was the main wiring harness was ran right b y the exhaust and melted the lights wire and the orange wire going from the ignition coil to the CDI. well i cut and re-connected them and now i have lights when i kick it over and i have spark. Still now starting, im getting gas air and spark, i cleaned out the carbs yet again this time i cleaned out the pilot and main jets. pilots were plugged BAD!! anyway after i try to start it the plugs are a little wet, so the gas is there. i hear it fire "sometimes" so the spark i kind of there. fouled plugs? and when i ran the volt meter everything was a little low but not bad maybe one or two off. whats next? any ideas?

So i took my re-built banshee up to silver lake this weekend only to have it rain and have the banshee DIE!!! ran just fine in the yard and up and down my road, the only thing i did to it before i went up was clean the carbs. and even after that it ran fine. i didnt take it through any puddles or anything like that at all, just had it on the trailer in the rain for about half an hour. after it stopped raining we finially got up there and it took about 20-30 mins to start and even then it ran at an idle fine. so i go to go up my first hill and get half way up in 3rd gear only to have it bogg down on me so i down shifted..... same thing, and again in first. on flat surfaces it didnt bogg down but sputtered alot. so i was making my way out to the exit and i lost my lights, then it died. It started one more time after that and had no lights but it ran and about 4-5 mins later it died and wouldnt re-start. so i checked my plugs thery were good, then i checked for spark, no spark. i took a volt meter to the ignition coil and it read fine on the primary but the secondary was wide open, dead zero. tested the stator wires and they were there, but a little low . i have changed the ignition coil and still no spark. I check the new one on my friends banshee before i got it from him and it started his right up. i dont know where to go from here kind of just want to give up, but i have put too much time money and effort into it to get rid of it lol but you all have been there im sure. well any ideas would be nice thanks!!!

I checked the crank good, all the gaps and slack were all in spec. as refering to my clymer. the guy i got it from originally had it on there for $175 but i got it for $50 because he forgot how much he had it on CL for. He changed it out because he put a long rod in both of his banshee's. He had two cranks but i only bought one. I have replaced all seals and gaskits, and use yamabond 4 on the case. thanks for the advice
  16. Thanks for all the advice I have been going nuts over this all day lol. but at least i know that if i start off big and work my way down i wont burn it up. And is it necessary to do a leak down test?
  17. thanks, i just bought it from a guy at work and knew almost nothing about it other than it had a bad "piston" is what i was told. i took it all apart to find out that i needed a whole new crank it had a bad rod bearing. luckly i found a good crank on CL for $50 i think that was a good deal.

Exhaust: toomey T-3's with FMF silencers 2. air filter type: K&N 3. type of air box: no air box 4. elevation: 590 feet 5. pilot jet: stock 6. main jet: stock /200 7. temperature: 55-90 8. port job: no 9. carbs: stock 10.carb size: stock is there anything els that is needed for info?
  19. I am doing a rebuild from the bottom up. I am new to this and it's my first banshee. I have made it all the way to the carbs. on putting everything back together. Heres the thing, do i need a bigger main jet if I have aftermarket exaust? The main jet that is in there now is 200. Help please I'm lost..... Thanks.
