  2. its ok.... found it lol
  3. would you know what size fuel line to get?
  4. Tried to do some maintenant on the shee myself (fist time).. not much of a mecanic but had the Boyesen instruciton and got it done (new reeds). Now i read a lot on the formus here and remember that the carbs need a choke tube. theres none on mine. So im gonna go to a local shop here and would like to know what size tube to get... and what king of tube for that mater!
  5. Hey guys. Im gonna change my stock reeds with some Boyesen PowerReeds and would like to know if i will have to rejet?

  8. does timing affect the jetting? Is it ok to advance the timing to +4 in the winter?
  9. well i just repacked them... ended using some fiberglass insulation i had laying arround in my garage, the white packing i bought ended riping in my hands... I did take a test drive and she sounds great now and i fix the silencer in the pic also. So thanks everyone for the help!
  10. oh and as for timming, i have it a 0 right now. Does going to +4 timming meen i would have to change the jetting.. would it be ok for the winter months? I just tought to run it at 0 for winter and change it to +4 for the summer timer. Sorry for all the newb questions lol
  11. 3 up for the main only?? should i up the pilot and touch the needle position? Thanks for the help guys
  12. yea i know i should do a WOT through all gears but the icy trails that day did not agre with that! lol just tought i'd check them to give me an idea how my jetting is in more normal driving.
  13. thanks for the pics man!! I'll go check me bike again and let you know!
  14. well found this on the toomey website... they were probably installed wrong from the last owner.. I'll take a look tomorow First you must bolt the mufflers to the long stingers. The long stingers are marked left and right with a stamped "L" and "R", stamped into the muffler mounting flange surface (tube side) (otherwise, you can tell the left one because it is about one inch longer than the right one.
  15. Well at first i notice this looking at the back of the bike from the side. I could see that the right silencer did stick further out then the left. Then i got both silencers off and notice that the right pipe (when looking at the carbs) is out further then the left one also. So to me it looks like the right pipe does not sit exactly the same as the left, resulting in this half inch diference. Both pipes all well seated on the jugs so should be ok i guess.
