  1. I had it here yesterday. I misted the filter like you did, but his will only do it when you hit the throttle. I pulled the filter (dual stage foam, I like k&n) the slides had no catches and were very responsive. Then i tried misting the airbox WITHOUT the filter on and couldnt get it to happen at all. weird shit... Anyway I cleaded and oiled his filter and put a lightweight oil on the slides and we are going to ride today. Ill let you know what happens. I also have another theory, what if the water that is on the filter is displacing air. To get through the filter with oil it would have to be a finer mist than a spray bottle. The air displeced is just enough to reduce the amount of fuel coming out of the main jet but not actually reduce the oxygen enough to balance out. so being less fuel and alot of air you creat a lean condition. also if water built up slightly on the air jet on the intake side of the carb the same thing would happen
  2. Just bought the ones i got. Ive never had prodlems around here with any of my other shees , but my gizzly is loud as hell so i was going to get a spak arrester for that (just to have something legal on it) and thought what the hell
  3. Arrogance is everywhere around here! If your so dam smart why havent you posted anything that resembles an answer to this question? Forums are meant to help people, not for people to be pricks when someone has an idea even if its not right. and by the way like you said MOST people use the new content alert, that doesnt mean everyone, or that those who do read everything
  4. Do they make spark aresster for powercore 2s or is there one that will work??
  5. I used threebond 1194, from what i was informed it is just like yamabond.... But havent seen it mentioned here, Hope it works
  6. I use parts cleaner too, But some shit just dont wanna come off. The shee I just bought was in Great shape bone stock but never washed its a 2000
  7. I Use alot of break cleaner it kinda sucks. Im wondering what is the best type of cleaner to use prior to assembling your motor? Im talkin from a complete teardown.
  8. I could be wrong but... I think the slides sticking ONLY when its wet would make sense if water vapor was condensing on the slide. Water is a horrible lubricant and may create enough tension between the slide and the carb body to hang it up temopraroly. Maybe try a slightly heavier spring. Or different carbs if your budget allows for it. I personally have never had a problem with any of my Shees but just had a friend have the same thing happen to him yesterday so I need a wat to fix it also
  9. I didnt think so considering you dont even use the cushions. Thanks guys
  10. I recently picked up a complete clutch that had a hinson basket on it for $75... Nice!! Anyway Im replacing the cushions and noticed there was no gasket or connicle washer. My question is are either of them bennificial and/or necessary
  11. would you sell just the clutch basket??? PM me
  12. I guess im more worried about them hindering the reeds preformance
  13. Had them layin around and i kinda like how they look. I didnt know how pointless they were 10 years ago
  14. I have a pair of reed spacers laying around from my last machine and was wonderingif they can be used with the Vforce 3s
  15. This is FUN
  16. I agree that MOST of the people who work there are morons and Pat is a prick, but he himself does know his sh*t, They dont care about their costumers. No I didnt do his port work like I said before I havent ported before, Ive only sone cleanups. I was simply pointing out that I'm not blind to what im doing and could use some pointers. Im from Wisconsin there really arent many recources around here, as you know
  17. I hear ya, Im all game for supporting the sponsers. And im not dumb enough to just run off and start hoggin away off what someone i dont know told me without serious thought. Its not like I have no clue whats going oninside a motor. But a little input from others (Honest if possible) is always useful... By the way I used to work for Pat Hauck
  18. Make sure you have it on +4 not -4...
  19. Thats cool. Plus i guess there are lots of other parts that can also squeek
  20. Thanks for the input man!! There is a lot of ppl here who think it takes an act of god to be able to port... Not saying its a easy task dont get me wrong but everyone who does it did it for the first time too!!
  21. Thats where you are completely wrong... One im not someone who thought, ill go get me one of dem der atvs and maker go fast. Second every body has to start somewhere... This is my third banshee and i am fully aware of what i am getting into, i have a stedy hand and if i do make a mistake its not the end of the world. I have the money for new cylinders or a big bore kit
  22. I may have asked the wrong Question. I dont have any measurements pre teardown. I was thinking of how much to raise and widen the exhaust port and which way to go on the intake. All this is aimed toward a broad powerband, low and midrange... I do alot of woods riding and wand my quad "PISSED OFF!"
  23. The heims were what made me question them. They look like they would be problematic
  24. I saw them on e-bay and was wonderin if they are worth a crap?
