  1. OK I have a set of Douglas red labels but is there a way to repair an aluminum rim it has been hit at some point in time to where it cracked the aluminum it's not real bad but it leaks slowly. I can take pics later.
  2. So the blue labels are too weak to trail ride? I live in Northern MI and its mostly sand and hard pack not too many rocks or anything that I don't plan on launching the quad and I was going to buy 20in tires wouldn't that be enough to cushion the rim?
  3. I have two sets of douglas blue labels that are 8in I plan on running at least a 20x10x8's I had 20x11x9's before But one of my 9in rims has a split in it.
  4. How are they in the looser stuff?
  5. Thanks for the input I bought some soft scrub tonight plan on bringing them in and throwing them in the bathtub tomorrow and giving them a good scrubbing.
  6. Looking for a good all around trail tire to fit my 8in douglas blue labels? There's only a few that are 20+ inches tall was thinking maybe maxxis razr or super grip stingers? Are there anymore decent tires for 8in. rims that are over 18in?
  7. I've been trying to come up with some ideas for stickers I can make for my banshee and figured I'd ask you guys if you have seen any cool stickers or know anything that would make a cool sticker. I made one for my sons blaster that says OIL+GAS=HAULING ASS I just wanted to get some different ideas from you guys so I could come up with some unique stickers for my banshee. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
  8. Cool thanks I'll have to try that
  9. Ok thanks
  10. I was just wondering what you guys use to clean your plastics? My plastics are white and a little stained just wanted to know if there was something that would bring them back to life other than brake clean I've gone through 2 cans and that gets a little expensive.

    stock swing arm

Already set thanks for the offers though.
  12. I was checking out the ambushes and they look like they got some pretty big lugs which would help in the sandy trails around here. Anybody ran them how do they wear and are they pretty puncture resistant?
  13. Good all around mostly looser trails, some hard pack.
  14. Ok thanks guys.
  15. Ok thanks for the input.
  16. I was wondering where everybody was buying their tires and where to find the best prices?
  17. How much does your compression go up when you advance the timing or does it vary from engine to engine?
  18. I was wondering how much compression i could get away with running on 93 octane? I tested both cylinders today and got just a touch over 120 on both. I want to get an adjustable timing plate but still want to be able to run on 93 octane that's all I can get in my town.
  19. So its good even for a trail rider.
  20. I've been reading that advancing your timing gives you the most bang for your buck but is it worth it on a trail rider and are there any negatives to doing this? And if I do advance the timing should I go 4 degrees like everyone else?
  21. I got it today used ratchet straps and a vice and got them off thanks for all the info.
  22. I only need to do this once is there a way to do it without building a spring compressor?
  23. How do you guys compress the springs to get the plate off?
  24. Ok I'll check them out thanks.
  25. Anybody know of any colored chains that are good?
