  1. Thanks for all the replies. Running 20" rear tires and will probably go back to stock gearing and go from there. Suspension is taken care of so so no worry there. Plus I'm kind of stuck building the motor as it grenade'd last year. Now you guys have me worried about the crank. A quick search has yielded mixed results. Its not a china crank but it isn't a Hotrods either. Hmmmm..... Guess I have some more research to do.
  2. Stock airbox, no lid with a UNI filter. Im not positive on which crank Kevin uses but i know its welded. Max load bearings really needed for a woods bike?
  3. Gearing was another concern of mine. Currently running 13/41. Should I go back to the stock 14/41? Would like to keep the front wheels on the dirt at least some of the time.
  4. Dudes! I think I have made my final decisions on parts and how I want to put this thing back together. I blew it up last ride of the summer, lower connecting rod bearing decided to let go and destroy a top-end that had 4 rides on it. Most of this will be coming from HJR. -4mm long rod crank -HJR MX Hardcore port on stock cylinders -Weisco 795 series pistons -Domes (Whatever Kevin decides to use for pump fuel) -NOSS Head +4 timing I want to build this with stock carbs and the FMF pipes I currently have. Will eventfully go with PT Mids but that’s further down the road. I feel keeping stock carbs and these pipes will help this thing even more down low and should still scream up top. The only decision I haven’t made yet is which reeds would best suit this build. VF3/4 or Chariot’s cages with Boysen reeds? ALSO are there any transmission mods I can do while this is out? Help this shift even smoother than it already does. Currently have Mull’s shift star and roller bearing. Thoughts, comments or concerns? -Matt
  5. Hey folks. Just wondering what a good start with jetting this would be. I have looked through the PINNED thread but couldn't find anybody with my mods and similar elevation. So here is a rundown of the mods: - FMF Fatty w/ PC-2 silencers - Wisco Pro-lites - Stock carbs - Foam filter. No lid - Stock head shaved .020 - Stock cages w/ Boysen “Power” 2-stage reeds. (I may or may not end up porting them, not sure if it makes a difference tho) - Stock porting - +4deg ignition timing - 50:1 Amsoil. - Under 1000ft elevation - 70-90deg with little humidity. I am thinking 290main, 27.5pilots, 3rd clip on the needle, and 2turns out on the screws. Thoughts suggestions comments?? Thanks guys, -Matt
