  1. Just thought i'd let everyone know, i bought a +2 banshee axle from forward powersports on ebay in may 2011. It seemed to work fairly well for the last 9 months of moderate dune riding until the friday before christmas when it snapped. I was heading back to the truck at the end of the day when i came around a corner hit two whoops and skid to a stop. I looked back and the whole left side of the axle snapped right at the lock nuts. I was able to ride the 5 miles back on three wheels, but boy was that a pain! That night i contacted forward powersports and they said" there is no warranty on that axle." I figured there wasn't but thought i would check. All in all i would not recommend this axle to anyone.
  2. So i went out riding today and the banshee ran great for a couple hours. after a while, shortly after start up, one cylinder died (right side). i threw a different plug in and it worked for about and hour then the other plug died (left side). swapped another used plug in and still dead. took the banshee home and noticed 1 of 6 spark plugs would work. ( all 6 were installed trying to get it to run and even cleaned all plugs.) i could move just the plug to the opposite cylinder and it would run there. so i checked the stator and it was good. then i noticed the blue wire for the voltage regulator was shorted to ground due to the wire melting on the exhaust it was also broken in half. i fixed the wire and installed 2 brand new b9es plugs and now it runs perfectly. could that cause plugs to fail internally? so now if i swap any of the other 5 "bad" plugs in it won't run on what ever cylinder i put them in. weird, their not fouled, just dead. anyone have anything like this happen? all the bad plugs are br9es (x3) and br9eg (x2) (platinum). thanks guys. 1989 banshee
  3. I have 20cc domes with 170psi static compression running +2 timing advance, i run 91 oct and never have any problems at sea level. hope this helps.
