I thought they were the best of the best but my 20" mx tires with kold kutters hooked better. Going to try some 20" cheng shins this weekend. Yeah it has s single 39mm pwk with a modded 440 sled intake.
Well it handled good. My dumb ass moved all my pics around in photobucket so they all disappeared. Ill edit and get them all back on plus some. The ice was 5.5" on pleasant lake in Waterford. Real small lake. The 18" cheng shins I tried didn't work as well as I thought they would so I gotta try something els. Got a chariot fuel bowl on the way cuz it seemed to run low on fuel on the half mile track. Stay tuned
This is a real cool bash, i mean suspension thread lol. It's super cold now so we will defiantly be on the lake this weekend. Studding some bandits tonight.
Thanks for the props guys. The lower shock mounts on the arms will have to be cut off and redone to get the long 2012 shocks to fit:(. I used the old tabs for the front plastics and extended/ welded them to line up. Got on the ice for a short time last week and it handled great. Haven't jumped it yet tho. I think the old rake was under 10deg and its like 14deg now. Comparable to a 250r. The rake increase did make steering a little difficult. Hope the lake is good by next weekend and ill get some video up.
Thanks torker! What measurements are you looking for? The nerfs are DG alloys. Bought them new a long time ago but I did buy a bent up set from him for the black nets.
Well it's not an all out oval racer. Just changing shocks tires and stuff would make it great for MX in the summer. Any hoo it's finally finished! Took it around the neighborhood and it handled crazy awesom. Ill be studding The bandit fronts for the ice but the way the weather is going I might just have to buy some dirt track tires lol. If I get out on the lake ill try to get some video to post.
I got 15 and 38 sprockets. Had to clearance the crap out of the hub do the chain didn't hit tho. We still have no ice in lower Michigan so I can't really test it out.
Made some tie rods and upgraded to 450 spindles/ brakes. Bump steer was fixed with some shoulder bolts and spacers. There is no safe ice here in lower Michigan and I really want to ride. Not happy
65hp is just a guess. Never dyno'd it. Don't wanna be claiming any crazy numbers. You know people don't like that lol. Bike is almost done. Pics under frame chop in the suspension section if ya wanna check it out
I understand its not going to be exactly right for my bike. Just wanted an idea. I will try the 15 39 and see how it works. I don't have a exact track size either so it can change. Thanks for the help guys
