But the main black wire needs to stay, just cut the black coming from the plug to the splice to the main black. this is where I am getting hung up I will go look at the harness again . where is the main blk

and what do I do with the wires comming out of the thumb throttle

so the pigtail for the blk box there are 3 wires blk yellow blk white and blk so what do I do with be blk wire sorry judt trying to figure this out

the tops are replaced . im not getting spark . I cut the pigtails off the harness for the thors. do these wires need to be twisted together or left alone and taped up also the thors little black box is removed should I cut the pigtail off that twist together or left alone?

this post will prolly get your ass torn up but my advice do nothing as far as stroking it. true weld crank new seals ,new bore pistons and run it stock . piped if anything mild porting leave it at that

well the internet says im at 4436 feet and fmf gold i think its a midrange pipe vs the fatty or toomys. cool so im going to keep my needles and change the pilot. mains i will start with 290 and go from there and I run the clip second from the top its my sons machine im buliding. its stock and the shees i have ownd allways ran 34 35.5 not used to the stock carbs.

does it still have the thors? if so unplug them and the wire to the thors black box under the tank. and try all those other things sugjested as well

I agree forgot about that snip the pigtails from the tors off and twist them together and get rid of the little tors brain box and wrap it up with blk tape

Ok I have had this problem get a small screw driver first off, then go on e-bay buy carb kits and rebuild them 280 mains should be fine. for some reason even if I clean the carbs good it still runs funny so buy the kits and rebuild them should solve your problem. its not getting enough gas that why when you choke it it reves high cuz you are cutting off the air . also check your fuel valve make sure you have no clogs if there is a filter change it or get rid of it. hope that helps
