  6. there will be a quads ONLY meeting in leroy on fri the18th @ 630 pm to go over the classes and rules for the 2012 season. anyone interested should attend. lmk if you need any help getting there. hope to see some people there..
  7. hey guys, i know the season just ended, but i just wanted to let everyone know we have the rule books for the 2012 season re-done and already set so everyone has something to build by of the winter months. We ran into a few issues last year so as a result we changed the classes around and added some more safety rules. We are also setting up a date to have a quads/board members only meeting so all new riders can meet the members of the board, the new class official, as well as go over the new rules and have any questions/concerns answered. If anyone lives in the ny area or close and is interested in getting a copy of the rule book or directions to the meeting send me a pm and ill be happy to help. Id post the rules on here but since its a word doc im not sure i can and its just to big to copy and past into a post. thanks guys and we hope to see some of you out here next year for a big 2012 season.
  8. well....bring it on out..lol lmk if you need any info cause ill be more than happy to send it out....id love to get some 2 strokes out here....lmk
  9. races for may 21st has been cancled. we will resume racing on the following saturday (may 28th) hope to see some of you guys here....
  10. limerock speedway, we race every weekend, gates open at 4pm...pratice starts at 6pm....racing starts at 7pm. the track is 1/8th mile (i think) semi banked so its not a true flat track but the banking is worlds of fun to put a tire on the berm and ride it all the way around, throttle pinned. We have 3 classes depending on turn out. cash payouts to top 2 classes...throphies to the 3rd class. great food..huge stands...and very friendly people to be around. for any other info reguarding classes and rules...please pm your email and ill send them to you as an attachment... for directions please visit the track web site at www.limerockspeedway.com thanks guys hope to catch some of you there
  11. you guys willl be super close to limerock.....we are racing sunday (weather permitting).....you guys should stop by and come race....we have 10 guys now and 2 classes so im sure we have a spot for you lol lmk
  12. if anyone is still looking for a track i know one in ny and were looking for more riders. lmk and ill send over the info and rules
  13. yeh i know its been around a while...but just figured i ask about it since the last time i rode a 2 stroke was god at least 10yrs ago lol
  14. idk where the e85 thing came from but im not planning to run e85.....im just interested in what i will be getting myself into when i run 93 oct fuel from any of my local stations. I have yet to see a single station here in new york where i live that even has an e85 pump lol....i just want to know that with the right oil....at the right mixture...that running fuel with 5-10% ethanol in it isnt going to cause major harm lol....i hope this clears up any questions....sry guys
  15. so they do make oils that are designed to withstand the effects of ethanol....that was going to be my next question....i dont ride everyday or even every weekend for that matter..so how long do i have to let un used fuel sit in my tank and or carb before it goes bad to the point of needing to replace shit?
  16. it wasnt hard to understand at all lol....i mean as long as your mixture is right...and your motor is tuned for the 93 oct fuel and it dont sit for a long period of time (a yr or more) i cant really see it taking out motors left and right...however i am also no pro so i guess once i make my choice i'll find out what happens when i run my first tank lol
  17. that was another thing i heard about it, but no one seems to have an exact answer lol.....so does the higher oct not contain ethanol? the shee im looking at was set up and has been running on 93 oct? if its only the lower oct fuels that contain the ethanol then im not worried... and ive noticed that every station is different. some contain 5%....some 10%...some 15%
  18. that was one of the things i heard about it as well...and they said it was because the ethanol does not mix and is not made to be mixed with oil....? dont really know the amount of truth to that lol...
  19. alright so im looking into getting a very mint used 99 shee and thought i covered everything there was to look up to make sure my first 2 stroke ends up being a good choice and buy. HOWEVER i now have heard that the newer fuel that you would get everyday is not good for your shee. Now aside from the now $5.00 per gallon cost....ive heard that fuel containing ethanol is nothing but bad news for your motor? now i dont know if thats true but since 99% of all stations sell fuel that contains ethanol....if i had to change somethings in the motor then id rather know now and not find out when the motor blows. Has anyone else heard this? and can anyone answer this question before i go buy it?
  20. there is an open pratice at limerock speedway this sat the 23rd. and 3 race dates after that 04-30-2011 07-23-2011 08-27-2011 tell your friends and family...the more we get the better chances we have of getting a new full time track for quads.....i can send you or anyone else info on rules or classes just ask or email me back at FLAT_TRACKER_044@yahoo.com........ so lmk guys
  21. i was looking into either the toomys...fmf..or the dmc 916....i just love that sound of that dmc....sounds really nasty. i was looking into the jumping of the banshee and i just dont have the funds for full suspension yet so i think im just going to go a lowering kit and or wheel spacers for flat track racing right now. then upgrade to a full +2 later this year or tax return time next year.....unless anyone has a system they want to get rid of and are looking for some brand new snap on tools....(never used or opened) lol.....ive allready ordered a jet kit and k&n filters.....lmk what you guys think is best about your exhaust.....will help in picking one
  22. i just got back from looking at it. its MINT and in great shape. it started right up first kick COLD....its bone stock now and my new question now is.... i have about $600-$650 left over. SO.........what should buy first for mods? im looking into trying some flat track this year but will be doing mostly trail riding and a little jumping? so what you guys think?
  23. i do have a comp tester and will for sure be bringing it. it is my first banshee as an owner but not as a rider. i have a buddy that had one and i loved it the first time i threw a leg over it and now want one for my own. ill def make sure to ask the usual questions as far as oil mixture and change times. any other issues i should look for not only before buing but some i might run into down the road later on?
  24. im looking into getting a 99 banshee to add to my collection of toys. I was just woundering if i could get some ideas of some problems that have either been found or to look for when i go look at this wheeler. i got pics of it today and it looks mint but we all know looks can be just that....so if i can get some info on any problems with your guys 99's or some pointers to at least look for aside from some of the more typical things you should look for when buying a used wheeler it would help out a great deal......thanks guys
  25. ill have to look into that thanks man
