  1. Just wanted to post up about the transmission I had Cam cut for me. Before my bike wouldn't shift worth a crap. I sent it to him and got it back very quick too. Nothing but good things to say about it and the work he done. Now it shifts very smooth with just a slight pull of the clutch.....thanks again Cam. I would recommend this mod to anyone with shifting issues that needs a transmission that can be backloaded. It's awesome!

  2. Make sure you sync the carbs....tearing them apart and back together is most likely gonna put them out of sync. At least get them close before you start trying to tune the bike. Why not take them apart, clean clean clean, make sure pilots are clean, set float height, needle clip in the middle slot, jet up on the mains as you sound kinda lean as mentioned already, air screw 1 1/2- 1 3/4 turns out from seated., make sure the slides open and close at the same EXACT time, new plugs, get it running and adjust the idle screw/knob to obtain an idle....I think if you would do this it would definitely help and get you pointed in the right direction. How about the compression check? I would definitely do this too so you would have a pretty decent idea on the condition of your topend while you were at it. A leak down test would be a good idea also just to make sure you don't have any air leaks. If it were mine that's would I would do....but I'm far from a pro as to the knowledge level of a lot of the people have on here.

  3. Thanks spurdy. I think I'm going to hit Jeff up @ FAST and get the billet basket, new clutch, throw in 6 hd springs along with the ASV shorties. This should fix my problem for sure. Just went out and now I have play in my durablue axle.....the sprocket & rotor move a little front and back before the axle turns. Damn where does it end lol. Guess i will just shell out the $750 or so for the Lonestar axle, hubs, rotor hub, and sprocket hub....problem solved. I don't know which one is a bigger money pit.....banshee's, boats, or sports cars! Always something ....

  4. I wouldn't think main jets would have too much to do with starting....your pilots, air screw, idle screws, choke, carb sync, yes. Just take your time, eliminate things as you go, and adjust everything evenly ....it will come together. I was very frustrated with my bike trying to jet it.....learned as i went ....now its just about perfect.

  5. If it were mine I would check compression....i have a hard time taking people's word on engine work. Ditch the boost bottle and go back to the factory crossover tube. Boost bottle is known to crack the boots and cause an air leak. Why not take the carbs off and clean the shit out of them also taking note as to what size mains, pilots, and needle clip position....that way you know what you are working with. Pilot could be dirty from sitting a lot. If you search on here there's a link on here for carb trouble shooting and tuning....very helpful. Pick up a Clymer's manual for the banshee...about $30 or so from a sponsor ....best money you can spend for your banshee! As already mentioned above....sync the carbs! Many how to's on here if you search.

  6. Well I think I'm gonna try the ASV shorties .....they look good and seem to have good reviews. Worst case I hate then and put them up for sale on here....take a loss and buy msr lol. Changing the subject...I run 3 hd springs now with a tusk clutch along with a new oem cable. I seem to get a little slip on pavement with my 4mil. Bike is fresh less than 15 hours on it....wonder if 6 hd springs would cure this? I ride trails mostly ....and it seems it does it the most on pavement. I did get it slipping when i was cutting a few doughnuts a while back in the dirt. I'm thinking I need to buy a better clutch like FAST sells. What's your opinions?

  7. That's what I was thinking with the shorty levers....wouldn't have the leverage. What sponsor has the msr levers? Jeff @ fast? I like to order from people who support the site instead of ebay. I just want to get the pull as smooth and effortless as possible. I know it won't be as light as stock but want it the best it can be if that makes sense.

  8. Just curious as to what would be a good clutch lever for my banshee. Clutch is a little stiff with my 3 hd springs in it now and new oem cable. The threads on the lever for adjustment are stripping out so I'm losing some adjustment. I want a smooth, light as possible pull....didn't know if shorty levers would be a good choice or not by ASV? Opinions please......
