Great, thanks for the info. Tony

My 4 mil long rod Banshee runs strong. We ride at the Oregon dunes. It has stock carb bored out to 28mm. Compression is at 180 psi.(110 octane fuel). I have 310 mains in it now. Banshee # 2 has stock head milled and carb bored out to 28mm also. don't know what it has for mains. Just bought it. We are going to St Anthony's over the 4th holiday. They run great at sea level, but St Anthony's is at 4000 -5000 ft. above sea level. What mains should I run there? Just want to get them as close as I can so I can spend my time riding instead of tuning. Thanks, Tony

Just thjinking out loud. Would it be possable to use an automotive leakdown tester on a Banshee? Plug the intake and exhuast , remove 1 plug and put that cyl at bottom dead center. Add 6psi. and watch gauge.

Yes I want them. Meet up on the 30th or give me a total for shipping and I can send via Paypal.

How much to ship to 98223? I need them, I have some ugly T4's now with good stingers and silencers and have been looking tor some T5's.

I have a set of reed spacers, but they don't help. Turnning the carb slightly still will not let them come even close.

Bought some 34mm Minkuni flat slides and a billet intake with built ln crossover. Tried to tnstall them but they won't fit. The right one fits in but the left one hits the pipe. I have Toomey T4's. Do I need to find different pipes or different intakes to make them fit.

It runs strong with the stock carbs. They have 30 pilots and 320 mains. I ride at the Oregon dunes so I'm at sea leavel. The 34's have 280 mains and I can't read the pilot size.

Found some Mukuni 34's with adjustable power jets added. Anyone know anything about power jet and where to start with the jetting?
-
Yep, I measured them 3 different times just to be sure. I know I need to move up to 33s or 35s. Any one here have any for sale. I would need to put on the intake boots to match also.

Stock carbs are 26mm, but when I measure mine they are 28mm. They look stock. I have a 4 mil and I think I need bigger carbs.

Pull the lever 1/4 of the way in, open the bleeder and pull the rest of the way. Close the bleeder and release the lever slowly. Do the same on the other side. Keep going from side to side untill no more air.

Installing Armadillo +2+1 a-arms. What should the camber and Toe be set at? Should it be set with rider weight? Also I just installed a 4mil long rod engine with 170 psi. Can I get by with a 50/50 mix of race fuel and 93 octane?

I have both a Banshee and a Renegade. The Renegade beat the Banshee last time out, however I just finished putting in a 4 mil long rod ported engine in the Banshee. Need to do the heat cyls. and get it to the dunes and see how it dose. My 86 LT 250r will beat them both. It has an 05 GSXR 750 engine in it.

Sounds like a good time to install an adjustable timmin plate.

Any old guys ride Banshees ? I'm 55 and ride mine alot, Although my Renegade still get more seat time. Then I make a few runs on my GSXR powered 86 LT 250r. Will heel guard from a Warrior or Blaster fit a Banshee? I have nerfs but want the guards too. Or are there any after market ones that fit?

I downloaded it from the " USEFUL LINKS " thread on this site.

banshee vs trx 700xx vs trx 450r
Dazeys replied to bansheedude55's topic in General Banshee Discussion
My buddy has a 700xx and my son beats him on his Banshee thats stock except for FMF pipes. I beat him bad on my Renegade. My son and I are close. I he gets the jump I just pass him at the finish. If I get the jump I'm a length ahead at the end. The 700xx rider is well over 300lbs and can't keep the front down when he lanches. I've beaten 450 Honda's, Yamaha's, and Suzuki's with my Renegade. All races have been at the dunes and I can lanch 4X4. I haven't had my new to me Banshee to the dunes yet. -
I just put it back together, so I can still ride it untill I find a new one.

Yes I knew they were left hand threads that used to be there.

When I bought my Banshee the flywheel was loose. The key was broke. I put in a new key and tighten it up. Last week I bought a Chariot timming plate and a new flywheel puller. I tried to install the plate, but the threads in the flywheel are messed up and the puller won't thread in. I run a auto shop and have just about any tool you can think of. If I don't have it I will the next time the tool truck comes. Anyone have any cool tricks to get it off without the use of the puller.

New guy here with a couple of questions!

I downloaded the manual from this site. It's in the USEFUL LINKS thread. -
I sent my top-end to them. They did a great job. Fast turn around also.
