    Winter in a town of 250 with a coastline of 100km+ makes for some remote riding. Shit all out there. I've been pretty fortunate in my location. So have you, Oregon must be great!

     

     

    Thanks for the reply. That setup looks sweet. I had originally planned to have one on the bars so I get better coverage when turning. Do you recommend?

     

    How might I obtain a stator from sheerider1026? Just PM?

    Bar mount lights work great for turning, so yes I would recommend.

     

    Yes send Sheerider1026 (Gary Tabor on Facebook) a PM and he will get you set up on the stator and what rectifier to buy.

    Do a DC conversion,battery and a custom stator from member sheerider1026 and will be hands down your best upgrade. As for lights I've used from low Budget china ones to Baja designs, rigid and Vision X. You get what you pay for and the quality stuff is pricey but my favorite so that's what I run.

     

    One of my trail bikes with Baja designs Squadron pro lights and S2 on bars.

    I plan to use an r/c car battery pack kinda like the middle one hp2000 used. I think i can fit that between the tank and radiator. I'm tired of blowing out LEDs so i'm done with that until i can convert to d/c. I will get two new harnesses made by Kompulsive Concepts so it's all clean. I will just use the stock stator and external battery charger. I'm not sure if i can float the ground on a different stator and have it charge the little battery pack safely. It's a lot of money to have reliable LED's that ill barely ever use. But it will look good even when off.

    The DC rectifier is $65 so all you have to do is float your ground and you should be able to do it on aftermarket ones. If you need help doing it Pm sheerider1026 with a pic of your stator and he can probably tell you which wire to float.

    I had a similar setup and at first i didn't notice the heavy ass battery. Until one day I removed it on a dune trip for the day and back on for night and let me tell you that 5lbs makes a noticeable on the way your front end feels. 2af472a90281cde3c3450cd7cfadc78c.png

    Lead acid 12v 5ah heavy & bulky bastard $20

     

    Trail tech nickel 12v 3700ah weird shape. $55

     

    Anti gravity 13v 6ah ridiculously light weight and the shape is easier to hide best of all 3 hands down $105
