  1. i searched but most people go to aftermarket axles it seems, i just did my rear axle bearings and seals and before i put the hub sprocket on it spun freely IE i spin it it keeps spinning. now after tightening it down and putting the hub on it spins, and doesn't get harder in one spot but will not spin freely seems tight IMO. Never done a rear axle before, i cant tq the nuts to proper spec because i am still using the stock 87 style with the gaps for a chisel maybe im too tight? idk bearings are seated properly the seals are slightly below the lip of the carrier - center spacer is in place- after the seals are in does it still free spin or does the resistance from the seals make that impossible- Also does the 6bolt style sprocket hub fit the older 87 axle? thanks guys
  2. Whats 20oz to 5 gal? Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk
  3. i thought so too but i just went what the manual said, so 40:1 would be the rest of the bottle and another 2.5 gallons right? its yamalube 2r or s the one that was designed to be mixed...
  4. hey guys, I just rebuilt my engine, new crank, vitos SS pistons,+4 timing, dual stage reeds, billet pump, cool head with 21cc domes, fmf fattys and k&n filter with holes in the lid i read in the clymers that i should mix 16:1 for the first tank so i mixed 2.5 gallons at 16:1 i started it just to make sure it runs, still waiting on rear bearings for the axle. then i come on here to see what others do for break ins and i see a lot of people saying to run the mix you plan to run later down the road and do a few slow rides re-torque and ride it like normal im at 1200ft and jetted at 320 mains and 30 pilots should i add another 2.5 gallons to mix it to 36:1? or dump the fresh gas and re mix? also how does my jetting sound? i figured it would be a little fat for now until i can plug chop thanks rk
  5. okay thanks!
  6. replaced the bushing this is the best vid i could get of whats left of the play what do you guys think?
  7. I was assembling my clutch and noticed that the bushings in the clutch basket where shot so i bought a new billet one. I assembled it now i get no play from the gear but prolly a 1/4 inch of play top to bottom like you would check a wheel bearing. Is my bronze bushing toast or do i actually need a new Gear with the bushing (the one that attaches to the basket) keep running into problems i want to go ride!

  10. what is pin gap?
  11. MININUM END GAP .012 PISTON TO WALL .003 from vitos themselves, that being said is it a good idea to go to say .014? i know on cars the bigger the gap the better (to and extent) to compensate for heat swell ect...
  12. Got a set of vitos SS pistons, whats the minimum max ring gap? anybody know? also any certain direction for the rings? cylinders bored .40 over i can email them but forum is faster usually

  17. i bought VITOS all in one set for the seals for the banshee Im rebuilding i looked them over and installed but the PTO side of the crank the gear isn't wanting to go in, installed the seal with the ribs and the spring facing out there is no OUTSIDE or otherwise markings on it. there's text on both sides of the seal. In the lower-end walk through post #5 http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=140912 shows the spring on the outside also. I did get the gear to go on but the spring popped of the seal. any input or help is greatly appreciated. supposed to go riding this weekend
