ill give it a go i had a helluva time adjusting the slack in the cable i have so i bought a new one... are yfz450 thumb throttles different than the banshee ones or are they a plug and play? wondering if that might be adding to the mix with my cable issue

im wondering if one of the carbs is fudged i had a lean runaway 2 weeksback it passed a pressure check but hmmm. they are cleaned twice now may i should try a third time....

trying to synch my carbs up I can get it synced up with the fast tool but the slides are pulling uneven by sight.... so i adjust them with out the tool (dead nuts pulling up at the same time) the synch tool reads diffrent from each carb what's going on here? did a compression and leak down blows 120 each hole and held 6 psi for 30 min

upp? im still running stock carbs so no clearance issues there are they more durable than the stock rubber intakes? id imagine so..

whats the advantage to a billet intake vs stock rubber ones? whats the disadvantages? do they make the boots for aftermarket ones to fit stock carbs?

Oh yeah man even shit more when the master and pulling the plugs didn't it was the longest 8 seconds of my life

It has a twist throttle hopefully if the guy pulls through i will trade a thumber for my twist then ill be sure to go over that extra good when i get it back together does anybody know where to get those rubber washers that sit in the carb tops?

Prior to this just put 3 gallons of gas in her, pulled the bowls everything looks operational IE floats move near as i can tell and are adjusted into spec. another thing i remember changing is i replaced the choke line between the carbs however it wasnt as tight as the previous line that was on there.... maybe thats a issue? i did some reading it just seems like if thats missing it makes it run like crap except up top

well, i pulled my carbs to rejet for a riding trip coming up but them all back together idling nicely got the carbs synced up at idle, was trying hold the throttle at 1/4 to sync the slides up next thing i know the damn thing is SCREAMING when i put the tool up to the carb... Hit the kill switch notta. hit the master notta so i panic and choke it out with my hands.... So the only thing i can think of is a air leak. Did a leakdown today (this was friday) it failed the first one but passed the second and third so i think i just had a leak on the connection to the pump i was using, squirt bottle showed no leaks around the manifold. the slides where not hung up when this happened... Yes the slides are in right (cutout to airbox) no they where not hung up both click down nicely and and it was idling just beautifully before, things i changed are i used new hose-clamps on the intake boots, re-jetted the main turned out the air-screws a extra half turn im STUMPED. did notice some weather cracking when i was inspecting the boots ( pushed on it slightly some weather cracking shows) will be ordering new intakes before i start it again just as a precaution im just not sure why it still is holding 6psi for at least 14 min Any ideas?

Yeah superstock's, My elevation now is around 1500 feet. im jetted at 320 30 and 1.5 out on the screws. its rich, i plug chopped in last june it was on the rich side. i dont have anywhere close to chop it again so i let it be...... it doesn't bog and runs good

What should be a close jetting for 3250-4800 ft mods pod filters, +4 timing, fmf fattys, vitos pistons, vitos reeds, coolhead 21cc domes, running 32:1

This isn't a chop this is from my first ride on my rebuild.. Planning on doing a chop next weekend.. Just looking for some input to ease my mind. My mods are 21cc domes plus 4 timing fmf fatties vitos ss Pistons vitos dual stage reeds 320 main 30 pilots airscrews 1.5 from seated this was about a hour of ride time man so far I'm loving how this build is running.
