Ohh ok. Is there a chart that'll tell me what octane I'll need based on psi of compression?

What is a compression test going to tell me? Am I doing that for something related to the jetting or the head domes?

Thanks for the good info guys keep it coming. I just bought a set of 34mm flatslide Mikunis and a stage 4 Trinity head with 19cc domes from a member here in the classifieds. I called Trinity first and they said that the 19cc domes should be perfect for my setup on pump gas at Sand Mtn, NV. He said I'll likely need 100 octane for home though (sea level). I'm hoping those Mikunis won't be too much for my setup. I'm definitely going to look into notching my timing plate, I know there's a sticky on it here. Any guesses on what pilot/mains would put me in the neighborhood? This will be for Sand Mtn (4000ft).

Well I looked at my single. It's a Keihen PWK but it doesn't say the size on it that I can see. I'll have to take it off and measure it I guess.

What all is needed to make these work? Just pilot jets?

Awesome thanks for the replies. I'll start shopping and see what I can find. Hopefully I'll find a good used dual setup here or eBay, then recoup some cash by selling the single. I'll look and see what size my single is.

I have a 97 Banshee with a mostly stock motor. Motor Mods are; -Wiseco Pistons on stock bore (honed only) -Mid-top end dune port/polish -Milled Head -FMF Fattys -Trinity 2-1 intake/single carb (not sure of size) /K&N Filter Most of my riding is done at Sand Mountain, NV (5x per year max) with a little in the dirt as well. It runs great on regular 91 octane. Everyone tells me that the single carb is probably costing me lots of power. Should I leave it alone or switch up the setup? I'm guessing I'd need a new throttle cable for the dual setup too right? Also, I'm not totally opposed to an alky setup if the power gain is worth it, but I don't want a tempermental bike that I have to worry about blowing up and constantly tuning/checking plugs on either. I bought these hubs along with a bunch of other Banshee stuff and I can't use these so here they are for sale. They are blue and come with the tapered bearings for the inside of the hubs. Sounds like Inland is wrong, plain and simple. I've never installed a 2 or a 4 millimeter thick plate, much less held one in my hand. If I ordered a 4, I expect a 4, and it is not my responsibility to recognize it or mic it when it gets here. If I order 13.5 - 1 pistons for a motor and I receive 12.0-1 pistons, is that my fault? Hell no. It sucks for them that the spacer was port matched and is now a paperweight, but they need to accept the return. That's just the cost of doing business and making a mistake. Keep on keepin on man....post this EVERYWHERE
