Looking to sell/trade my 05 Banshee. Top end is fresh, maybe 2 hours on it, rebuilt with all OEM yamaha parts, still standard bore. Here are a few things done to it: GT performance +6 swing arm, factory carrier. Toomey T-5 pipes with Cascade pipe clamps, polished silencers Boost bottle K&N with pro-flo adaptor TORS delete kit Timing plate advanced 4 degrees Head milled .02" (still runs on 91 octane) Brand new tusk clutch with heavy springs, new cable also. Has a few other polished parts on it.Ive got a extra set of plastic for it, they are drag cut. The Ball joints in the a-arms are a little loose, I have a good set of arms for the right side but havent picked up any for left yet. I replaced the throttle cable while back and have not got the carbs dialed back in 100% it starts and runs fine just wont idle for long periods of time. May be open to some trades. Here is the Craigslist add, its better to email me through the add since I'm not on here very often. http://kansascity.craigslist.org/rvs/2450424645.html

When sitting on the bike looking for left side upper and lower a-arms.. I bought a set that turned out to be trash, looking for another set. Must have good ball joints with dust caps still in place and would like for hardware to be on there also.. Thanks James.

' Thanks for the info, I looked online at lowes, they have a 50w MR16 spot light bulb for only $3.54 apeice, looks like just to leads come off it and I could make the wiring very easy.

I bought my 05 with trail techs on it but there is no bumbs or wiring in them. Looking for another set to replace them with, tired of not having lights on the bike. Previous owner put underglow lights on it but no head lights.. lol... Let me know if you have any, Thanks James.

Still have the factory A-arms? How are the ball joints in them? Have any spindles?

Alot more locals on here then I thought there was... Yancy's up in smithville also sells 110. Its only 5 miles from my house so pretty convinent for me. I also get 100LL AV gas from the small airport by my parents house.

Stock carbs, Tors removed, has idle screws and nothing on top of carbs, electronics part unhooked. Choke tube in place, just cleaned both carbs after it was giving me trouble after putting the new cable on it. Unsure of the float level, I didn't change any thing when I cleaned them, just took apart and put back together just like they where. Bike has been in Kansas City since new so not a elevation change. Bike ran perfect when I first got it, been having issues since I changed the throttle cable.. Looks like I'll search for how to sinc the carbs.

My 05 Banshee is pretty close to stock, T-5 pipes, +4 timing, .02 off the stock head, still on standard bore with stock pistons, has a boost bottle, and a k&N with no air box lid. When I first bought the bike it ran great, started right up, idle'd took a couple trips around the yard to clean it out and it was ready to ride. Well the throttle cable started sticking so I ordered a new one. When I put it on it would only run on the right side. I pulled the left carb off and cleaned it all out. Still on ran on right side. I pulled the topend apart, still see cross hatching in the bores so I bought some oem rings (98 bucks at dealer!) and a new head base gasket, had the head milled at that time. After messing with the throttle cable some more got it to run on both cylinders again. My problem now is it wont idle, cold or hot. It starts right up when its cold, no choke or anything but seems to rev up quite a bit then come down to a idle and die if you do not give it gas.. My other issue is it seems like I have to warm it up for a good 10 minutes before it is cleaned out and wants to rev like it should. After you get it hot its hard to start, have to hold gas open to get it to fire back up, used to kick once and idle fine. Running 91oct and klotz mixxed at 40;1, b8es plugs in it. I was thinking maybe the needles are worn or floats set to high? I'm not the best with working on getting carbs to run right. I didnt change the jets or anything, just cable. Sorry for such a long question but any suggestions would help.

Got any pictures of the stock a-arms? How are the ball joints on them? Could use a set of spindles also. -
Thanks for info. Bike ran fine for me in stock forumn, just figured might as well do a few cheap mods while I had it apart. I live up near Smithville, just alittle north of KC.

Put the bike all back together, Head milled 2/100th of a inch, new base gasket, rings, and head gasket.. It started right up, before I had to give it some gas to get it to start.. It tooke me about a hour to get the damn flywheel off, I pulled one of the bolts and out to find that some one had already notched the holes and advanced the timing. But atleast I got to clean alot of dust out from the inside of the cover/flywheel.. I'm just hoping now that they had not already milled the head also....
-
Got a topend gasket set, Need to run by machine shop and see if they can mill head real quick for me. Haven't trying the timming plate yet, Any idea what way I need to notch out the holes?
-
I'll have to give that a try. I have motor back on the bike now so might be easier to do.
-
I wish I could get the flywheel off to do that. I have a puller but it won't budge. I've even tried my impact on the puller with no luck.
-
Thanks for the info guys. I'll probly go .20 just to be on save side. Will there be much gains in milling it?
-
I tried to search first but couldn't find anything. My banshee is pretty much stock, t-5s, k&n, tors elemenated. I'm going to rebuild the topend. Does anyone know how much can be milled of the stock head and still be pump gas freindly, if any? Thanks James.

I need a set of upper A-arms for a banshee, the ones on my bike the ball joints are about to come apart on. May be interested in a full set but really need upper right away. Also looking for a straight steering stem, mine is pretty bent. Let me know what you have and how much you want for it. Thanks James.

I have a complete running 409cc Banshee motor, stock bottom end with LA 69.5mm bore pistons. It runs and rides. Just leaving my bike stock to sell it. The stator wires will need direct wired since the plug has been cut off. I'm in Kansas City. Asking $600 for it.
-
I bought this motor a few months back to put into my Banshee, desided to leave the bike stock and sell it. Need to finsih up my Mustang project. Motor has LA sleeves in stock cylinders, making it 409cc. The cylinders are 69.5mm bore, looks to have a small amount of porting done to cylinders. The factory head has been machined and milled. I have a extra Vito's head gasket so can pull head to show it. Clutch is good, transmission goes threw all gears. This is a complete running motor. Has carb boots for stock size carbs on it. No kick starter or shifter though. I have the side cover for it just not on in the picture. Also have a wiring harness for it. Asking $600 obo I prefer local pick up, could meet some where within reason. Havent really shipped anything this heavy/big. But I'm sure it could be arranged. Will take better pictures of it in morning and post the up.
