  1. Yeah airbox is on Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  2. Can you tell from that? Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  3. No same result with filter off. Blowing air into the intake cleans it up as does shutting the gas off, as it is running dry before it dies. Keeps pointing to to much fuel, but it ran great with bigger jets in than it has now. Could this be reeds? I have a stock set I'll through on tomorrow and try out of you think it could be that Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  4. What do you mean by corners 90 or cutoff? Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  5. Carb Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  6. Pretty sure they are not knock offs. Woods port, dmc exhaust chariot intake all brand new Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  7. Tried all that no luck. I had the exhaust off for the leak down test. Right pipe had a little oil but the left was wet, left a puddle where I had it hanging. Cleaned the carbs again, this time in a ultrasonic cleaner. Put in 48 pilots and 148 mains. Left side loads up and shoots oil out of the exhaust. I set the float height to factory spec of 19mm from casting to top of float from when it closes. My first time working with Keihin carbs. Anything I am missing? They are 28mm flatside carbs Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  8. Ok I'll give they a try today. Would taking the reeds out and cleaning them out help at all or is that a waste of time? Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  9. It sat overnight between running well and not. They are genuine Keihin carbs. I am pretty sure they did get clogged with oil, would only run on choke, and by run I mean start but not drive able. I cleaned them out well, blew out everything with compressed air and now it is super rich. Would taking the gas from 24:1 to 32:1 really make it run that much richer? 10. Finally got to drive my winter project. Engine is stock strock, woods port, w/ 28mm Keihin carbs. I dont remember the exact size of the main, my first bike with Keihin carbs, but it was around 158 with a 50 pilot, air screw 1.5 out, JJH needles. Ran great for 3 hours or so. Only issue is it was puking tranny fluid out of the front vent. Figured out the rear vent was clogged and that solved that issue. I filled it up with gas, mixed rich at 24:1 and has not ran right since. With the new gas it would only run with the choke on. Drained the gas, put it new gas mixed at 32:1, cleaned the carbs, at least 10 times now, and now it seems rich. Did a leak down test held 6 lbs for 6mins. I did a half ass compression test, 100 in each side, will get a better one tomorrow but cant imagine it is an issue in the top end. Reeds seem good, besides being caked with oil when i took them out after the rich gas. They were new with the engine, no cracks and closed and held when I tried to suck through them. To sum up bike went from running great to now i cant even drive it. Will start, wont idle, smokes a lot. I put new plugs in also. I moved to main down to a 148 and didnt seem to make much of a difference. Adjusted the floats and helped a little. With the bike running, if i turn the fuel off, as it is running out of fuel it will run well for a few seconds before it dies. Any ideas or stupid things I am missing Ruled out all electrical. Swapped brand new OEM CDI, Coil from working bike, and stator tested out.
  11. I just got a set of DC Pro a arms and need some long travel shocks for them. Was hoping to get fox floats but they are having issues sourcing materials at the moment. Anyone have any used ones they are looking to get rid of?

    DMC 916 Wanted

Just like the title says. Looking for DMC 916 exhaust. Have a bunch of banshee parts if anyone wants to trade let me know what you are looking for otherwise fine paying cash also.
  13. bump really need to sell this, anyone interested before it goes on ebay?
  14. Located in SE Wisconsin, just north of Milwaukee
  15. I built this bike last summer and drove it a handful of times, the engine has less than 5 hours on it. It was Built by John at Gass-RX. It is a 4mil long rod stroker. The top end is bored over .40 which brings the engine to just over 400CC. It has CPI Inframes, 34mm Mikuni carbs with a ton of extra jets. Adjustable timing plate currently at +4. It has a NOS cool head, not sure on the size domes but they have been milled to accept the long rod. I have been running it on 113 race gas, but you could easily change the domes out and run it on pump gas. The bike sat all winter and still started on the first kick. The bike also has a +4 swing arm. The bike is at my dads house so I cant get any good pictures of it, but I have a few without all of the plastic on. The back tires have 95% tread, they were brand new along with the engine. I have not had a chance to really drive it yet this year but i am guessing that the jetting will need to be tweaked. But this bike hauls once you get it dialed in. The engine builder said it should be making around 85 HP. I will see if I can get over to my dads and get some more pictures and maybe a video of it running. Please email me at jst854@gmail.com with any questions. I am looking to get around $3200 or best offer for it. I cant get the pictures to upload right now so e-mail me for pictures.
  16. There is a lot and it looks like metal flake paint somewhat. I have not owned the bike that long, I bought it as a parts bike and built it up from there. So the engine is brand new less the tranny. After talking with my builder he said it is more than likely the clutch breaking in.
  17. Finally got my 4 mil running right and now I noticed there is a ton of metal shaving in the bottom end, so I pulled to clutch cover off and didnt notice any broken gears in there so I am guessing it must be in the tranny. Is the tranny the weak point in the banshee bottom end?
  18. I dropped the pilots down to 50's and it seems to be running better. I can get it to rev out in all the gears if I bring the throttle up gradually instead of just holding it pinned. Is that a indication of it being lean or rich?
  19. 30's sound really lean for the pilot, isnt stock 27.5? Regardless I will start going down on the pilot and see where that takes me. Why would it rev out clean in 5th and 6th but not any other gear though? It idles ok, the air screws are about 1.5 turns out. It will load up after a while of idling and you have to rev it to clean it out, but isnt that how most drag bikes are?
  20. Just like the title says looking for a stock CDI box from a 87-94 and a rear caliper that is ready to bolt on. Email me at jst854@gmail.com
  21. I finally figured out that my CDI box was junk and now the engine will actually rev out. It has the following mods, 34mm mikuni's, CPI inframes, 4mm long rod, cool head around 145 psi, very aggreasive port, vf3 reeds. Here is my problem, The bike runs awesome in 5th and 6th gear, but will not rev out in any other gear. It seems like the higher the gear is the more it will rev out. 1st and 2nd will barely get past half throttle. I have 520's in for main and 75 for the pilot and the clip is in the middle position. I was going to try leaning out the needle and see where that takes me. You guys have any ideas?
  22. I swaped out the CDI box with my brothers shee and now mine rips and his wont rev out. What a joke a brand new CDI box that wont even run. Going to find a used stock one and toss that one in the garbage
  23. Ok thanks guys, I have a stock one but the wires are cut so I will fix those up and see how that works
  24. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/YAMAHA-BANSHEE-350-CDI-REV-BOX-IGNITION-87-94-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem3a5ede4d61QQitemZ250699730273QQptZMotorsQ5fATVQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories#ht_4233wt_716 This is the CDI box that is on my bike now and I cant get it running right. The bike does run different when I turn the screw but still not anywhere close to where it should be. Are these boxes know to be bad?
  25. The stator is stock and I am assuming it is good, I will swap it out for a know good one though.
