  1. Possible air leak causing it to run lean? Is the tops to your carbs threaded on correctly? (not cross threaded and not fully seated)

  3. Come on, SOMEONE here has to have put EFI on there Banshee! Shit Direct injection wouldn't be that far of an engeneering streach in this day and age. With Sr-50's running around with all the parts as well as the boat motor industry I would have guessed you guys would be all up on the free HP! Take that stroked 10mill motor and ad about 20-30% MORE power with a simple home-made direct injection setup that you never need to jet and can see your a/f ratio after every run... Why not? not WHY!

  7. I have a clean, low mile Derbi GPR motor with oil injetion, liquid cooling, and a 6 speed trans that came out of a showroom new 1999 Derbi GPR with 2200km on it. I have a ton of parts and enough to make a full motor kit complete with pipe and carb. I am willing to trade for various parts and or a banshee motor and some cash. let me know what you have and what you would like for it and we can go from there.   8. I have the gheyist question in all of history, but I have really wanted to know what the hell IS an override trans? I assume it means you slam it in gear in first and it will shift like a quick shifter at WOT then stop at 5-6th on its own? Help a young sprout out...
  9. Thanks for the input papa smurf! I have been wanting a setup like the two stroke shop in austrailia has been making, but that stuff is big money. They claim hot rods cranks anr not balanced worth a shit, any truth to that? Also going with a single carb might make jetting simpler and I have a local pipe builder who can make pipes. Anyone here ever try some sort of efi on a banshee? Should be possible with a mega squirt or I do have a chance To pickup a cannondale 440 w a blown motor that could donate its efi to play with. Anyone use ceramic main bearings on there banshee?
  10. Hello Guys, I have a project I have been working on that will be "easier" to use a Banshee motor vs a RZ motor. My question is for the guys who have done some motor mods and I am willing to bet this is the place that will give me the best answers. If you were building a motor to use in a street bike chassis, and wanted it to not only be fun but last what would you do? 4Mill? leave it stock? Port it, true the crank, coat the pistons with ceramic? What I'm looking to do is have a 60-70HP motor that I know will need lots of love and attention, but not gernade every weekend. Keep in mind that going all out will Kill fuel mileage and make it's use that much more of a pain. I would like to see what my options may be and what you have found to be not the "best" motor layout but at least a sound, efficent setup. It will just be a second bike/toy and in a very light (190 lbs total) frame. Any input is welcome! Thanks
