  1. This kind of stuff makes me so nervous to buy anything off the internet. A couple months back I sold an Edelbrock Super Victor intake for a 351w on the internet to a guy, shipped off and everything was good. I went to work for a month out of town at a place were I had no internet access or phone service. I had told the buyer this simply for the fact that I was leaving about a week after I shipped off the intake. So that if he had any questions he would have to call me before then. I sent him the tracking number and everything else and confirmed that it was delivered. He notified me that he received it and was very happy with it. I was thinking everything was good because I sold him a $380 intake for $220 (it was still in the plastic, was brand new in the box). When I get back from work a month later and check my email, I had emails from PayPal that the guy filed a claim against me saying he never received the intake. Since I could not be reached via email ( they never tried calling my parents house which I put the phone number on file) they refunded him his $220 out of my account and closed the case. They said that they closed the case because I would not respond to any of there emails so they thought I was trying to rip the guy off. Which I 100% understand that. I tried contacting him via email and phone and he will not return my emails or phone calls. I contacted PayPal immediately and explained them the situation and they said they could do nothing about it, but out of pure courtesy they went ahead and emailed the guy asking about the claim he made. I gave them the tracking number and they saw it was delivered. They informed him they know he made a false claim and would recommend him refunding me my money (even though they could not take the $220 back out of his account because the case was closed). He responded immediately back to PayPal saying he would return me my money. Well 1 month has went by and still no money and he still will not respond to me. I know this was an extreme circumstance but I just wanted to share my horror story with every. Just be careful out there, even if you are the seller, because you never know what could happen.
  2. I did this today on my YFZ. I was getting SO pissed then realized i was just an idiot.
  3. I don't understand why people try and lie about what their shee's will run top speed. It's obvious by now that you will get called out by all the experienced tech's on this website. I am totally new to banshee's, but I do know that no matter what, numbers dont lie. So quit making all of these absurd claims of "I went 105mph on my banshee and all I have done to it is foot pegs!" lol. Also, you cannot judge how fast your shee is by saying "well i was next to my friends truck and he was doing 94mph. If you will get a GPS and put it in that vehicle that was doing 94mph, i almost guarantee you it is not going to say 94mph on the gps. I drive an 04 tahoe and when im doing 75 on my speedometer, im doing 72 on my gps and as I speed up, the amount the speedometer is off is just going to increase. Like I said in the beginning, im a newb when it comes to banshee's so i am not trying to sound like a pro, but I do know how to do math.
  4. Just wondering if there are any fellow Halo 3 fans out there. There are about 5-7 of us that play it very regularly online.
  5. I think I have decided on the color scheme. Candy copper frame with polished A arms and swing arms, Candy copper hubs, spindles, case, and few misc parts here and there. Then have the polished axles, foot pegs, handle bars, and a few misc parts from there. For the plastic, Metallic silver with Candy copper flames with an all silver seat. Wheels will be polished. also. I think it will look pretty sick. What do ya'll think?
  6. I am looking for an A arm frame. doesnt matter what year. I am looking for one to start my build with. It must have a title and be clean. color does not matter as it will more than likely be changed anyways. Shoot me a PM if you have one at a reasonable cost. Thanks
  7. Send me a few pics of the entire bike. I might want to buy it as a roller. jacob_stumbaugh@hotmail.com
  8. yeah i know what you mean. I can't think of the guys name on here that I saw some pics of his powder coating products. He did some parts in Candy Copper that look absolutly sick. It wont be just regular copper, i saw one like that and it looks ugly as sin. I like the look of the Candy Copper. It's so hard to think of on paper. Cause I want to have some polished items on there but I dont want to go over board with it. At the same time I dont want to go over board on having to many items painted copper. I do agree that black would look good. Maybe my original idea but with black plastic. I think that would look pretty sick
  9. I am getting ready to start my build. I was thinking of painting the frame copper with a little metallic in it with polished +2+1 A arms then going with a +6 polished swing arm. I think it would look pretty sick. I like the polished look but it's easy to go overboard with it. Also going with polished foot pegs, polished wheels, copper hubs, and copper calipers. I just dont know what color plastic. The first thing that came to mind on the plastic was white. But a friend of mine built a 250R that was copper and white so I can't copy that. I also thought about doing a blood red with metallic instead of copper with black plastic.
  10. Yeah i have been doing some research. there for definitly a lot of helpful information on here. Every now and again I plan on doing some trail riding but it wont be anything bad. There are a few mountains up here where we can ride that are just 2 lane dirt roads. I am definitly very excited about the build. Im totally new to 2 strokes so im still learning the basics of them. So far im mainly looking at the sigs of other members to see their combo's and just going from there. I look forward to showing the build progress!
  11. hey thanks for the info. I will definitely check out all the sponsors. Ive been opening up my wallet for a long time with the car addiction. For the build I am doing now compared to the car i was building. This will be a cheap hobby! (about 25k invested in my mustang and it still doesnt have a motor or transmission built yet!)
  12. First off, I would like to say hello to everyone. I'm tried to find a newb introduction section but couldn't find it so I hope I didn't miss it. I am new to Banshee's and am getting ready to start my build on my first one. I have drag raced cars all my life (mustangs) and am getting ready to make the jump over to the banshee world. I am a newb for real so I am going to apologize WAY in advance for the stupid newb questions! I am going to start out with a bare frame and am wanting to build from there. I am going to base my build off of a friend of mines build and off of a few of the members banshee's ive looked at on here. I am looking at going with a 4mm stroke crank with a 5mm rod. Also wanting to use the NOSS cool head with in frame drag pipes. Also looking at an 4 or 6+ swing arm and 2 and 1 over a arms. I know this is a very very scattered out list. As i said before. I am new. Ive rode banshee's a lot but never really knew a lot about them. I could DEFINITELY use a lot of opinions/suggestions on the build. The kind of riding I do will be sand/drag. What kind/how big of carbs do i need? What kind of reeds would you recommend? Im hoping this build will turn out how I have it in my head. I am thinking of going with polished A arms and swing arm with an orange, dark red, or torched red frame with metallic in it. I think it would look pretty killer IMO. I havent decided on the color of plastic yet. Well enough rambling on because I can pretty much do that all day long. I look forward to hearing everyones suggestions/opinions on my build. Thanks, Jake
