  2. my friend showed me something while riding it yesterday, since it seems that one pipe is shutting off during this bog that it more than likely has nothing to do with the carb(s), that it probably is a spark thing, for me to take off the tank and check the harnesses for the coils ... any truth to this?
  3. so do i even need the 2nd idle screw since its not tapped yet? it seems to idle ok?

    Bent Axle?

    something just came to my attention from my friend .. the night we were doing my spacers, we needed to hit out the old wheel studs on both rear hubs in order to install my spacers. could i possibly have bent a hub maybe? i just dont remember hitting anything the day before riding it. so im having a hard time believing i bent this OEM axle, since it was fine that day, then i did the spacer install, then took it out to test out the spacers and noticed it was bent. So my question is maybe i just ordered a BRAND NEW G-FORCE ADJ. EXTENDED REAR AXLE for nothing lol. Could my splines on the hub be out of whack from hitting the studs with a hammer to get them out? im sure i didnt hit the hub itself, just the stud. but anything is possible right? how can i tell?? TIA.
  6. hey guys i looked into both holes, the one that has the big gold screw and gold lock nut and this is what i found ... heres the screw removed ... and heres the hole that one came out of .. now when i look through the above hole i can see the slide moving up and down, but cant see the slide through the other meaning its not tapped. is this not tapped and threaded for a reason? seeing its not tapped and threaded could this not be my bogging problem since theres no air coming thru that hole? ------------------------------------------------ also heres the top of both someone asked to see.

  8. ok so i ordered the stock yamaha idle screw for that side from the dealer and it doesnt seem to fit, that hole doesnt seem to have threads .. and the one the dealer gave me looks more like the air screw thats already there. it has a spring that also came with it. so now im getting really really confused. people keep telling me my bike is running boggy because im missing a screw on the choke side, but no one can figure out which one, so im posting a pic ... what goes here??? and heres the other side, non choke side so am i really missing something??

  11. thanks alot guys, so more than likely thats my problem of hesitation and bogging/breaking up? the only thing is that hole doesnt look like it has threads in it? is that normal? ALSO WHY DOES IT SEEM LIKE IM MISSING AN AIR/FUEL SCREW ON THE RIGHT SIDE? NOTICE IN THE PICS..

OK so ive decided to post this up with pics to get the publics opinion on whats going on here..the banshee has a decent idle but bog out when you try to take off (you have to rev it up really high or it almost stalls) and sometimes it even breaks up at really high rpms. I just picked this up a week or so ago so im learning more about it everyday, so far heres the rundown I CAN SEE: -tors removed -t5's -moose boost bottle -uni -no snorkel what do you guys see? a few different people told me im missing an air screw on one side, or maybe an idle screw? also when i first bought it the kid told me HE SYNCED the carbs, by eye though. He said one was rising up when the other was halfway up so he adjusted it by eye and they both are identical now. he said it ran terrible before he did it and mint after, but to me this is not mint. Maybe this could be my issue??? ........ basically i need to figure out this damn bog! its erking me! i like my stuff mint and this just isnt running mint... here are some pics of everything ...
  13. hows the clearance for trail riding with the 18's front and 20's rear? i just ordered a G FORCE adjustable rear axle and 450 front end conversion; i dont want to ruin them in one ride you know?
  14. great thanks meyer! that answered alot! ... im leaning more towards the carbs no being synced then because i remember the kid saying the left side was coming up halfway then the right would come up. he also told me he fixed it by MAKING SURE BY EYE, they went up together ... so most likely its off then right?
  15. im having a similar issue, dont mean to thread jack but what do the TORS's being removed have to do with jetting and/or having it run right? I also have a bog/hesitation while 1/8-1/2 throttle.

  17. UPDATE: Which one is my idle and which one"s" are my air screw"s"? (remember i believe the TORS has been removed) Assuming IM NOT missing an air screw and there is only supposed to be one big gold one on the right side, it possibly is my jetting then so where is a good starting point for a 2002 Banshee with UNI, TORS REMOVED, TOOMEY T5'S, AND A MOOSE BOOST BOTTLE? Im noticing it breaking up now in higher rpms WOT.

    i removed the wheel on the left side and it still seems the left side is jumping when i put it in gear, i might buy a friends gforce for 150 today ...

    Bent Axle?

    ok so yesterday i installed my durablue rear wheel spacers that just came in. took it for the first ride today and noticed a wobble in the left rear so i put her in the air. at first i figured the spacer didnt seat right, so we took off the wheel and the spacer. only to notice the left side still wobbling. i just picked this 'shee up a few days ago and rode her on the asphalt a few times a would have noticed this before as its very noticeable on concrete. so my question is could i have bent my axle that easy? i rode the trails right when i got it and it was kinda rocky, nothing big just rocky though in areas. is there anyway to be sure my axle is bent and not my bearings maybe??? what else could have happened in a days time of riding and an installation of spacers? anything i can check for? or procedures to follow to confirm either way? also if i do end up having to buy an axle what is involved in an axle installation? new bearings? press? thanks everyone! this site has been great since my purchase!!!

  21. that one doesnt look to bad, im just worried now about getting into trails without hitting my sprocket or frame with a skid plate or even without one. I like being able to fly over shit without worrying. i think im going to keep my 9" rear OEM rims so maybe ill return the 18"s and get them in a 20". i couldnt seem to find them in a 19" im assuming they dont sell that size then right?
  22. like i said i dont know what jets are in it, but assuming its jetted correctly where should my air screws generally be with my mods? (t5 pipes, uni filter, tors removed, snorkel removed) also what do you mean "he may not have filed, drilled, and tapped it"? is that from the TORS removal? please explain more...
  23. yes guys im sorry i forgot to mention the TORS was removed as well. How does that affect the idle screws/and or the air screws? Also why is there only 1 and its on the right side (non choke)
