    What do you suggest? 049? 035? The difference from 1" 065 to 049 is .15 per foot. How many feet do you use when you front half a bike? Now go look at the strength difference from 065 to 049. Then go look at the weight difference from 049 to 035 and look at the strength difference.

    You will never notice the difference with the different weight. Run it. Lots of motors out there with mismatched bores with no ill effects.

    You are on the right track. If memory serves me right there is about 3 pounds to be found in the motor and about 4 on the motor. However, you better have some serious time to burn! And for the love of all things holly, if you're REALLY going to try and cut weight, don't run a fucking billet stator cover!

    Tricked as I recall from a number of years ago I needed a flange to weld on a set of pipes and ended up using a washer for a 1" bolt. Drilled 4 holes for the allens to go through and welded them on.
