  1. if you get an aftermarket cdi i'd go with a ricks hotshot by rick's motorsport electrics. I'm not sure if it is better than oem but I used it to replace my cdi that had gone bad and so far i love it. stay away from ricky stator stuff. ive personally never used any ricky stator stuff but i hear its junk.

  2. hey guys. I got my tether cord in today. its the emgo closed circuit to run switch. i hooked it up to where the key switch would normally hook up and i wouldnt get spark. does it have to be tied in to the killswitch that ties in with the light switch? how are you guys mounting connecting them?

  3. bansheeAndRider,

I only ordered the 2-pin type a and the three pin sealed connectors. From what I can tell, the three pin *should* be compatible with the TORS tops, but mine were removed before I owned the bike, so I can't test this. The three wire was 100% compatible with my sport bike though. The 2 wire I got will not fit the rear brake switch; you'll need type b.

Unfortunately, the 4 and 6 pin connectors on their site are clear, and appear to more closely match the clear 6-pin connection to my CDI. I just so happen to be redoing my harness, so I took a pic, below. The best way to tell the difference is the latching device; to unlock the white ones, you press on the female, and to unlock the clear ones, you pull the latch on the male.

And the male end on the CDI:

To summerize, yes and no. The 2 pin type B and 3 pin will fit. The 6 pin clear will fit your CDI.

are you gonna be simplifying it with a dirtbike killswitch and a toggle for the lights? thats what im thinking about doing

  4. it needs a cdi. i ordered one but the guy i bought the bike from changed the wiring harness. so back goes the package and im waitin for the new one to come in. the bike is almost a basket case. im tryna talk my dad into lettin me strip it down this winter for some much needed pc work, a new top end, and some other mods.

  5. its decent size. but my shee aint runnin right now. but if u guys ever want to ride it theres a small lot right in front of it. im not sure how much longer were gonna be able to ride it tho. a few weeks a back a kid about 18 brought his truck back there and flipped it. cops and stuff were out there.
