im thinking of maybe trading my dmc 916 pipes for another set just for something different let me know if interested. prefer t5s
I have a nice and clean set of Toomey T4's if your interested. They are black, let me know

Also, there is a retainer that screws in the frame to hold bearing, etc. If this loosens, you will also get play in the stem up and down.
im gonna have to look ito that too, do I need to take off the radiator to check this stuff or is just removing the plastics sufficient enough?
-
There is a bearing at the bottom. It is underneath the flange the steering stem goes into. Shown here:

Are you talking about part # 13?

Hi guys I was wondering if I could get some help with this little problem I have. When Im on my shee and I pull up on the handle bars there is some play, It knocks up and down when i pull on it. There are no loose bolts or anything and the nut at the bottom of the steering stem looks ok but for some reason there is play. Has anyone seen this before? Is that a bushing at the bottom of the nut? can it be replaced? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,

you dont have to crack the cases to put it in. it is on the clutch side. IIRC, you will have to remove the clutch basket to get to it.
thanks man, I'll have to look into one of those

it is normal for a slight thump to be felt when you shift from neutral to first gear....just the nature of the beast. And as far as finding neutral goes....chances are your just having a problem like all the banshee's have.....a REALLY tough to find neutral. There is a fix for this...you can either purchase a new or remove your shift star and grind it down....which will make it shift easier between gears and also make it easier to get into neutral. Check with some of the site sponsors...i know they sell them.
Thanks, I ts just that i had a bone stock banshee the same year and it was no problem, Im gonna have to get one of those shift stars, do I need to open the case to replace it?

Hi gents,
I am having a hard time putting my banshee in neutral with the bike running, with it off it goes no problem. It drives fine and shifts through all gears normally. I think I need a clutch but im not 100% sure so i figured id ask. I adjusted the clutch lever but it diddnt help at all. If the bike is running in neutral and i pull the clutch and pop it in gear it kind of thumps a tad and pulls a little, that is why im assuming it needs one.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Eddie

I'm from NJ but i do some riding at Tug hill NY its by Rome NY. Lots of fire roads and stuff, its the place to be if u wanna go fast for a long time. Like literally 6th gear for minutes at a time lol. It is Lewis county and you need a trail pass to ride and a permit, 20 bucks each so its not bad for the year. I think u banshee guys would love it. I know we do lol
