Ok so i ust bought a shee with a vito's 404 kit and when i took the cylinders off the sleves and porting didnt look right....some shop just pressed them in and put pistons in......no porting no transfering ports horrbile job.....
Anyways i am in need of a good shop that can fix these cylinders at a good price. My local performance shop quoted 1000.00 to do the work which i thing is high.
Thanks guys
Ok so i was riding down a trail with my buddys and was out in front. As i rounded a corner i opened up my R the throttle stuck wide open.....OMG..... so i grabed the clutch and pulled it in. The revs went through the roof so for some idea i decided to release it thinking it would stop the throttle from sticking. It didnt.........the quad wheelied and i went off the back it dragged me for about 30 ft befor it rolled then it shot up into the air and flipped 3 times landing hard on the fr left side. then shot into the woods. After i relized what had happened i looked at the damage. to me i had bad road rash on my back......the R bent upper and lower asr a-arm and joint, bent steering post, bent fr knuckel and hub bent rim, broke rear bumper.
this guys is a retard i seen this and its beat and the graphics look like ass.........i have a 01 shee with a 404 bb that i got for 1500 with a blown head gskt......that was worth it i would give this guy 500 for his. he should get a job then his daddy cant say shit where he spends his money!!!!!
LOL this engine must be a little messed then cause the edge of the pistons do come right to the edge and maybe even a bit over........this builder must not have know what he was doing. i think im gonna start from the base up.
the reason i cant do a squish test with the head gskt is it is a 66mm on and the bore is 68 so the gasket sticks into the bore.
what is mike it out? and does it matter that i did the test without the head gakt on? also if the head was hitting wouldnt that mean there was like 0 squish?
kool thats what i was thinking this guy had i built and it never ran proper from the get go........it has done this several times for him. Now i own it sooo im gonna try to get it ripping. The funny thing is you can still see the cross hatch in the cylinders and there is no head damage. how thick of a base gasket should i get and where would i get one from?
