I need one 5th gear I would rather not have to buy a whole transmission cyclepartsnation.com had the gear for about 30 bucks but then wanted almost 20 to ship it ups ground
  3. went to my local atv shop today to check on some +.75mm wiseco piston prices they quoted me $200...A PIECE!!! and that didn't include any of the gaskets wow, but where is a good place to order from online? i found this site http://www.rjatv.com/productdetail.htm?productId=-106182 that has the complete top end kit for $185 does that sound reasonable?
  4. that is what i wanted to hear, I am pretty sure that I have some black permatex
  5. has anynbody ever used high temp RTV gasket sealer instead of yamabond? is it a bad idea
  6. well the pistons have .5 mm stamped on the top along with a bunch of other numbers, I assume this means that it has been bored .5 mm over the only numers on the crank that i found were a 29L cast into the rods and a 95 engraved on one of the gears i tried to get some pics but the batteries in my camera are dead
  7. i just got done tearing down my 01 banshee because of a broken gear in the trans i was told it had a stroker crank in it when i got it the crank was welded like most stroker cranks are, but how can i tell exactly how much stroke it has? the cylinder has TRM engraved on it and the head has TRM PRO-GAS 21.4 engraved on it

  14. thanks for the suggestions, i am probably going to head over to the shop here in a little bit and look into it some more. hopefully it will be something simple and i wont have to tear the engine down i drained the oil out and didnt see any metal shavings or chunks of metal so that was a good sign
  15. Hi guy, I am new to the forum. I got my first banshee today, and I broke my first banshee today, lol. This is what the add said and it is pretty much all I know about what is done to the fourwheeler Bigbore kit stroker crank flat side carbs fmf gold series pipes ext. axles & a frames lonestar swingarm full bore plastic kit fat bars. the head and cylinder both have TRM engraved on them and either the head or cylinder had "progas 12.4" engraved on it (can't remember) when I got it home it acted like it was flooding out so I adjusted the carbs and got it running good I was in first gear and hit the gas, something popped and the chain broke. I pushed it back into my shop and looked it over, no busted housing or anything. with the clutch pulled in it runs fine but when you let the clutch out it chokes the engine (this is without the chain on) the transmission does not shift right either. has this happened to anybody else? what all could be wrong inside?
