  1. one t5 was bad huge dent,(already chucked) the other is ok but the silencer tip is bent up from wheelies. so after i get this done if any one wants the left t5 let me know just pay for shipping. Believe me it will most likely not be fast enough LOL. She complained about a kawasaki 125 being not fast enough!!!!!!! But she has never ridden this type of 4 wheeler, ( only hunting/utility 4x4 types) so we will see.
  2. thanks Bill. Hope fully after all the parts arrive it will go together as fast as it came apart. I think the longest wait will be the machine shop!!!!!!
  3. It is basically going to be kept stock except for some suspension upgrades.( this is going to be the wifes primary ride) The motor will only be 10 over, cool head k&n filters, that is about it for now. we will see how she handles the basically stock power and go from there. But the way she drives a car i dont think that will last long LOL.
  4. well guys, i am finnaly able to start the total rebuild on the banshee this past week end. I have to say if you have a wife or girl friend who encourages you to work on it....... dont ever let her go LOL LOL. My wife has been on me to get this thing fixed, so the journey begins. I am sure i will have more questions on set up etc, so thanks to all of you and your wealth of knowlage in advance on this forum!!!!!! i just tried to attatch a picture but it will not let me........
  5. yeah that is what i thought thanks slopoke.
  6. hey guys, well this weekend i finally had time to remove the engine and split the case,(i want to replace all gaskets and seals before rebuilding the top end) Shee has been sitting out in the elements not run in about 5-6 years(before i had it sputtering about 3 weeks ago) i was amazed at how good the lower end looked! the gear set and inside of the case looked brand new, i could not find any metal filings anywere!! i figered i would a see little here ant there. the crank looked to be good also i did not see any pitting or cracks, i am just going to clean it up and reinstall. My question is do you have to buy the crankseals seperate or do the come with the whole gasket kit? and to add to this topic it seems that i am the first one to crack this case apart and it looks to have almost no sealent on the case halves, i did notice a very very tiny amount of gray rubbery sealent. could this be the factory sealer?
  7. How much for the complete exhaust and key switch and run/light switch 77565
  8. As i stated in one of my last posts, i am starting the tear down to rebuild the motor, i want to stay as close to stock mechanicaly as possible, now when i had the head off to free up the pistons i did not see any visible damage to the walls from what i could see, with out removing the jugs. And it actually sputtered to life for a few seconds this weekend( I am sure carbs need rebuild) Now should i do a leak down test / compression test to see if i will need to bore or if i could just get away with a hone and get a 64mm complete top end rebuild kit? Yes i am planning to inspect the crank and bearings and replace all gaskets,But i dont want to spend extra money on boring and oversized top end if i dont need to.
  9. Well i am somewhat lucky there my wife is bugging me to get it done!!!!!! She is more excited than me, Befoere i get slammed yes she has experience with 4 wheelers and 2 stroke bikes but like me this is the first banshee. Good thing there is a limiter on the throttle LOL LOL
  10. are they good shape no cracks or tears?
  11. Does that include the center pipes? what would shipping be to 77565? Thanks ps hope everyone was ok in that wreck!
  12. Sandfrk33 it has a boost bottle, the carbs are stock. Any ideas where i can get replacements?
  13. Hey just thought i would let you all know, the banshee stumbled to life this saturday, only for a few seconds but it is alive. Now i have started the tear down and the rebuild!!!! I am going to need the carb rubber atachement to the heads though, while i was removing the boost tube the left one tore Are they all universal when you have a boost tube? and does any one know the wattage of the stock lights? 30/55? If any one has stock spare parts send me a message thanks. I will post pics of the progress.
  14. would you happen to have the rear axle/bearing carrier?
  15. Thanks Burt. I thought that at first when i first tried to kick it over and it wouldnt budge. But after i put the Mystry oil in the plug holes and pulled the head, the oil was just pooled on top of the pistons, (the last time it ran it stopped mid stroke so neither the intake ports or the exhaust port were open?) so i mopped up all the oil after letting it sit for a couple days, a couple tapos from a soft mallet and they were free. Now it spins so smooth and freely it feels like new. I didnt even see any scorring in the cylinders. But you guys are so knolable on these you may be right.I did plan on changing all of the gaskets at some point when i have time so i will do the inspection then. Maybe i will be lucky LOL
  16. Garbage from sitting in the elements to long. With alot of elbow grease i could probaly save them, but i would prefer to get her back to as stock as possible for the kind of riding i will be doing, down the line i want to do some serious mods, but like i said i just want to get used to her first i dont have any experience with Banshee's.
  17. Thanks for the warm welcome, I have experience with 2 stroke bikes and 4 stroke 4 wheelers, but this twin 2 stroke is new to me LOL. As far as mods, it has Tumee T5? pipes now,Tumee boost chamber I am sure the carbs ar jetted(but look stock) it has never been bored cyl are both 64mm according to my dig caliper. I will def post some pics thanks again!
  18. Hello all, I recently picked up a 2000 Banshee for $0. It had been sitting outside uncovered for years. In my spare time i free'd up the cylinders, turning over like new now.( nothing like Marvel mystry oil and patients) of course i am going to check compression, then most likely rebuild the top end. finally found the electrical gremlin, has great spark now. want to keep it basically stock, would anyone know where i could get stock pipes and silencers? It does have a cool head, and from what i have read on this forum i will keep that. have never owned or ridden a banshee and i am very excited to finish this project.
