I forgot to mention....i ran into the original owner of the truck one night. I was drunk lol. But i talked to him a while. from what he said this now would be the fourth fuel pump it's been through. So...there has to be something causing it to be going out. I dont know many trucks that go though 4 fuel pumps. So what would be wrong that is causing this to happen? Idle drop....and bad fuel pumps. I do not run it low on gas. I try to take care of it.

I forgot about this thread. my bad. I did stop the problem. In a pretty redneck way. and im probly gunna get yelled at about it or something. I took some duct tape...folded it up to about 1/8 in thick and placed where the throttle cable hooks up to the throttle body i play. this made the truck idle higher at like 1500. at first. but after driving it a mile or so the idle came back down to around 700-750. and it doesnt dive down in the rpms when i let off the gas anymore. This is a pretty redneck way of "fixing it" i know. college is starting back up and i'll have the truck parked alot. Im going to try what 2twin350s had suggested with replacing the tbi gasket. and the fuel filter was replaced along with the pump. BUT New problem has been coming up. the same thing happens with a cavalier i have... sometimes while driving it will feel like its starved of fuel and it cuts out. but then starts again. it did it when it was wet out and i hit a puddle in the road fast. What i think is that the ground wire for the fuel pump is coming loose... would that cause the pump to stop working? and if so....then why does it work again a few seconds/minutes later just fine?

i think id probobly go with the ohtsus radial tires. ive been looking into the maxxis M944 iRazor tires aswell. does anyone have opinions on them?
-

sharp lookin blazer. and those are some crazy lookin wheels. love it!

so how bad are the ohtsu tires on the road? the trail i ride has about 10-15miles of paved road. I think id like the ohtsu tires cuz they hook up well cuz that's my biggest problem, ive been considering getting a -1 or -2 swinger cuz of it. would 22in hook up better than the 20's? sorry for all the questions, i never bought a set of tires before...never kept a quad that long. lol.

i've been trying to look it up, do you know the name of the 450 stocker tires? what size? 20s?
-
stock 400ex tires? i've heard good things about titan fast trekker tires. anyone use them?
-
whats the difference between the hole shots and razars? ...if there is any.

The riding i do is mostly play around on farms and home made tracks/jumps. woods riding, and some trail riding too. as of right now i have 22inch tires in the rear, i run the stock swinger, and i have 15/41 gears. and i do not have a skid plate. My tires just dont hook up well anymore like they used to so I'm getting some new rears. What tires would be best? What size would be best? I want something that turns good. hooks up well. and will work good in mud/slick stuff too. I do like the ground clearence of the 22 inchers. But I think id like the quad to be more snappy with smaller tires. I know i can change my gears to achieve that while having taller tires, but i already need tires and money is tight. I think 18' would just be to small but i dont know. what size would be best? and does anyone know of some good tires that work well on a shee? any good tires? or ones i shouldn't get?

leaving the gas on? i know it can flood ur cylinders. i dont see why it wouldnt leak into the exhaust ports.

10mpg, holy that is low <img src="http://bansheehq.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> You'll enjoy a Cummins, specially while getting double the fuel mileage <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="cool.gif" /> theres a complete running 1994 cummins 12v on sale on craigslist in my area for 2k. it has 175,000 miles on it. id really snatch that up if i had the money. would a cummins engine work well in a short box reg cab half ton? i dont do any SERIOUS pulling. just would like a diesel and think an engine swap would be a good alternative.
-
Not great on gas, like 10mpg usually, but pretty good power for a smaller truck. its not quite like the other trucks in here but gets the job done so i can save up for a cummins someday.

single carb vs. dual carb
bansheebarnes replied to 04trinityshee's topic in General Banshee Discussion
idk how much more tq a single carb might have. but all i do is woods riding and recreational trails on occasion. i got dual 30mm carbs. and i love it for what i do. who needs alot of tq anyway? thats what the clutch is for. -

i hate people like that. really "are you trying to make me look like a poor kid?" wtf? that truck is almost identical to my first truck. but mine was brown. and mine did cost 200 dollars. i fucking loved it! his dad called him a spoiled little brat...well. whos fault is that? rich kid don't know how to swing a bat either.

100% agree -
its got to be a joke. they got to be out of their mind to think its worth as much as a brand new quad.
