  1. hey i am having a similar problem and maybe i could get help here also. I currently am not getting any spark, i had my shee out yesterday, ran it up and down the street, and parked it in my driveway. I powerwashed it and i go to start it and nothing. roll it into my garage to find out that i am not getting any spark. i checked all my wires and connections and they are good. my pickup coil on my magneto is where it should be. I have no idea if it is the cdi or the magneto, and i cannot check because i cannot get the flywheel off nor do i have a friend with a shee close around here. thanks for any info
  2. hahahaha I love it when he said "nagnagnag (then the powerband kicks in) bitch bitch bitch". lmao :yelrotflmao:
  3. one thing that pisses me off more than anything is when kids get THEIR parents to spend THEIR hard earned money on spoiled ass kids like YOU. grow a pair, get a job, any buy your own shit. and its also funny that you are bringing your dad in on a arguement because you can't fight it for yourself. and yes, I may be 16, but every quad/dirtbike I have bought WITH MY OWN money, except for my first quad (christmas present). any yes, I have jibbed a guy once with my last dirt bike, but KARMA got me with my shee and I got screwed over on it and had to dump a good amount of money into it to get it to run right. think i have learned my lesson? yes. think I would want to do that to someone now? no. just grow up kid, and stop making up bs stories and trying to screw people over with your shee.
  4. I agree... I bought my banshee for 1,400 and there is nothing stock about it. All it needed was the carbs rejetted, clutch cover gasket, and swingarm bearings.
  5. so all it needs a a WHOLE new front end? WOW, thats not much to fix so you bought the bike for 900 then put graphics on it and it has a bad front end and all of a sudden its worth 2,800? wow keep dreaming buddy and your blaster you are selling for 2,500 or whatever, The sold them for like 3G off the showroom floor brand new when they still sold them. It might be worth 1800, Hell i am even having a tought time selling my 660 raptor for 2,500 let alone a little blaster? you must be living in fantasy land. just sell your blaster and fix the shee. simple as that. and also, is the shee your bike or your dads? because from what your post is telling me, it seems like he owns it and not you since he is telling you what to do. people like you piss me off, and I think you should move on to blasterforum where all the little kiddies like to play and BS
  6. i run yamalube 2r at 32:1 mix and golden spectro w80 gear oil in my shee....
  7. i have a raptor 660 as my second quad and its a great quad for screwing around on. its got more torque than you could need. it wheelies on demand and rides nice/slides easily. fun bike to beat on. if you think of getting one of these stay away from 01's unless they have an upgrade tranny from 02 on because second gear blows in the 01's alot. if i was looking for the bikes that you mentioned, i would aim for a yfz450 or a 400ex, or kfx 400. i have never ridden a 250r i heard alot of hype about them but for screwing around 4 strokes imo are better
  8. well my father thought he could help and we ended up cutting the bolt being the clutch cover with a torch..... ended up cracking my swinger in 3 places, melted a hole in my frame down below by the back brake lever, and that SOB is still on there. so now i guess we gott cut it on the other side to get it off....these 50 dollar bearings are going to turn into a couple hundred dollar project... but thanks for the help guys
  9. ok guys im in the process of putting new swingarm bearings in and i cant get the pivot bolt to come out. i have tried hitting it out, turning it out, heat, pb blaster crap, wd40, hitting it out with a push pin, it wont come out no matter what i do. i have got it to come out about 1/2" if that and it wont go any further. please i need some help because i would like to have these puppies in tonight. thanks for any info.
  10. i could really use those.... count me in buddy! thanks
  11. to be honest i think it is something in the steering stem because my tire rods and tie rod ends are fine. next week when i tear it apart to put a new cluth cover gasket in and some other goodies ill take a look at it. thanks guys for the help and ill keep yous posted. speaking about the steering stem, is it normal for it at the bottom where it connects to the tie rods to move back and forth when steering? its not really a problem i just noticed it does this, because my raptor's steering stem doesnt
  12. its fine when im riding its just when i turn sharp on a hill or hit a rock or a stump/ log etc. it turns the wheels and bars all the way to the left or right and then that tire will just go further and lock up against the a arm the easiest way i can explain it without pics (dont have camera) is if you are sitting on the quad and you hit something with your left tire it looks like this -- while the right tire is turned \ like that. sorry but if i had a camera it would make explaining this much easier
  13. so i have been riding my shee alot more lately and i realized that when i hit a rock or a log or something, or turn sharp going down a hill, my front tires tend to lock on me. and what i mean by that is the tire turns 90 degrees so that it runs parallel with the a arms. the is really starting to bug me and has caused me to wreck twice already. has anybody else experienced this problem and what can i do to stop it? i looked at the whole front end and nothing looks broken, messed up, etc. can you guys help?
  14. i ride mostly in fields and some trails and everything in between (but sand) i like it cuz it gives a nice amount of top end, i havent checked my rear teeth yet but im sure its not stock. i am just asking because i am heading to treverton with it this weekend and im going to put more tranny fluid in it but i dont want to leak it all out again. so pretty much take it off and clean the gasket? if its that simple ill do it tomorrow. and to get that off do you have to take the water pump cover/stuff off along with the clutch cover to get to it?
  15. i dont really like dealing with ebay. i dont have an account, either
  16. Sup fellas. i finally have got my banshee back from my dealership and boy i thought it ran good when it didnt run right, now since it is fixed i can barely hold on now. lol jk. but i need some advice an a couple things: the kickstarter: i noticed that when i am riding my kick lever vibrates like crazy all over the place. i am guessing that a kickstarter rebuild kit will remedy this? clutch cover gasket: now since i have got my carbs straightened up and stopped leaking, i noticed my clutch cover gasket leaks. i was wondering what brand you guys like the most (i heard cometic are the best). just wondering what you guys were using front sprocket: i don't know if it is just me but i can't seem to find a 16T front sprocket ANYWHERE. the biggest i can find is 15T. i have a 16T on it right now (i thought maybe it was me so i counted the teeth numerous times and get 16T everytime) and i really like it and would like to stick with it. any suggestions on where i can find one? thanks guys and any info would be greatly appreciated
  17. ok heres the lowdown of it now: i took the cover off to look at the flywheel. the timing plate? that hangs out over the right side of the flywheel is just big enough gap to put a matchbook in between the flywheel and the plate part, everything is connected to both carbs, i took apart the spark plug boots and cleaned/degreased them, put them back together. it still isnt sparking, i have ran out of ideas and im starting to think i traded my pristine warrior for a lemon of a banshee, i have dumped alot of money into this already and its getting kinda tiring. the right exhaust does not smoke, the right side is the one that is running fine, but it is also the right carb that is leaking gas out the overflow tube. the left one is the one that dramitcally smokes when it decides to spark (when it hits powerband and finally sparks) and will smoke for a little until its burned what its burning or i left go of the throttle and it drops out and stops sparking. im so disgruntled with this thing that i broke down and am going to take it to the stealership tomorrow and let them screw with it. im going to let them resync the carbs and left them try and figure out the problem,
  18. but the one that is leaking is the right side carb and the right side is the one that is running! i really dont get it! the reason why i fixed the left one was because of this and ever since i had it on now the other one leaks! i just cant win
  19. when i said that i took it for a ride, i pretty much took it around my yard twice and didnt want to do any serious riding with it. as for spark, i switched the caps and plugs with 3 new plugs and both times it would only spark in powerband. now when i left it run the gas out of the carbs before i put it away they both started firing right before it totally ran out of gas. my left carb, the rebuilt one, is spotless and i had the float properly adjusted and works good. the right one could probably use a cleaning but the float is properly set and works fine. what does gear oil have to do with spark? i really don't have a much knowledge on 2 strokes, im more familiar with 4 pokes than anything
  20. i finally got my rebuilt left carb back from my stealership. i put it on and started it up and it idled high, but im not worried about that at the moment. the right carb now leaks when sitting there just idling, but im not worried about that at the moment, either what my major problem is, is that my left cylinder wont fire until i rev it into the powerband, and when it does that, it burns all the gas/oil dumped in the cylinder, and smokes like crazy. it runs fine when its in the powerband, but when its out of it or idling it wont fire and will not roll when its not in the powerband. it gets fuel and it sparks when in the powerband, im just so confused with it i dont know where to start. the right cylinder sparks good and is what keeps it running. i took it out riding and it sometimes would randomly spark and kick into the powerband and almost made me lose control twice. im just afraid that without any spark in the low end/idle it will hurt my engine. if anybody has any clue or info on why this would happen please let me know. i have been plagued with problems ever since i got it, it is kinda sorta starting to turn into a downer
  21. thanks for the welcome. i did have a nice chunk of change saved up i was going to buy a truck but now im broke thanks to this puppy
  22. ok guys i finally got some better pictures of the shee. unfortunately none with me riding yet it's not running at the moment due to my left carb having to be rebuilt. but as for now you can enjoy these. i could not attach them so here are the links: http://i406.photobucket.com/albums/pp149/mrw105/banshee.jpg http://i406.photobucket.com/albums/pp149/m...bansheeside.jpg http://i406.photobucket.com/albums/pp149/mrw105/TOYS-1.jpg ^^ one of both my raptor 660 and banshee
  23. ok so after fouling my plug i got a new one, installed and started right up. idled fine with choke on but wont idle with it off. finally just revved it up and went around the track, and no matter how much i revved it into the powerband it would just bog out. brought it back, cleaned the plugs, and kicked it and kicked it with no start. i then tore the carbs apart again and it seems that the left cylinder isnt getting gas. tore the right carb apart to adjust the float and i lost the spring that holds it to the needle jet, and also, the needle jet fell right out of its hole as soon as i bent the float's tab out of the way. the other carb's jet isnt like that. my father thinks it isnt getting spark but if it didnt it wouldnt have started the first time it did. i seem to always have the worst luck when it comes to carbs.
  24. well i ended up installing a motion pro twist throttle kit, seemed to idle fine without leaking gas or the throttle sticking so i went to take it out for a drive and fouled a plug in my left cylinder as soon as i got out of my garage :wallbash: and started spewing gas out my left exhaust and out the left head so i said F%$# this and put it away. lol
  25. i am going to get a new throttle cable tonight cuz its crap. i took apart the carbs and cleaned them and noticed the float in the left carb hangs down lower than the one on the right. is it made like that? if not, how do i adjust them? sorry for all the questions, but i am not very good with jetting/adjusting stuff in carburetors.
